I take it he also wanted to give her an STD.

I imagine you are very good shape from jumping to conclusions.

I'm sure those stats change when you're giving B.J's in a porn shop parking lot

littlewonder -> RE: When the s type is told to do something illegal. (7/31/2010 10:09:13 AM)

I choose my partners based on their morals and values.

If their's was so radically different from mine I would really seriously wonder where my brain is and I'd have to think about having myself committed.

ORIGINAL: poise [sm=giveup.gif] I am, for the most part, a very sensible and reasonable woman, but I have to admit that there is one thing that I would be willing to do, even though I know it could be considered illegal. I'm aware that this may not sit well with many of you, but it is an honest admission. Perhaps its a good thing that He is more reasonable than I. (sigh)

I just realized that this post followed right after the giving random guys blowjobs in a porn store parking lot. To clarify, that's NOT what I was referring to as the one thing I would do.[:-]

Mine is just a tad more civilized, and only involves trespassing.
Im such a curious soul!

DomImus -> RE: When the s type is told to do something illegal. (7/31/2010 10:51:49 AM)

Interesting question, Steven. What I find most interesting is that most people will not willingly or knowingly break the law in public (and I don't blame them - I would not either) yet many will willingly and knowingly participate in activities in private in the course of bdsm ( and sometimes not even in the course of bdsm) that are also technically or clearly illegal. As Jeff Goldblum's character quipped in "The Big Chill"... "Rationalization is more important than sex. Have you ever gone a week without a rationalization?"

That's how I took the question. If you live in GA, doing anything on a cell phone other than talking is now breaking the law. Ride across the state line into SC and you can text and email on the cell phone all day long. (Off topic, I know, but just explaining that I took the question the way Calla did.) [:)]

I hate to nitpick but I think that restriction only applies if you are driving a motor vehicle.

aldompdx -> RE: When the s type is told to do something illegal. (7/31/2010 10:56:12 AM)

Surrender is by ongoing free choice from self will. It is from personal power, not weakness.

Each adult person is ultimately responsible for their own choices. Everything short of that is mere fantasy, rolePLAY (pretend), or outright evasion of personal responsibility.

The question is less about the integrity of a controller than it is about the self esteem and virtuosity of one who chooses to surrender. "If you don't have enough respect for yourself to set and enforce healthy limits, then how can you ever have the capacity to feel respect towards me?"

The law and morality are not the same thing... in many states it is illegal to do any sort of BDSM a all, so if you equate law and morality you are saying that if a person lives in a state in which BDSM is illegal, that they are also immoral.

junecleaver -> RE: When the s type is told to do something illegal. (7/31/2010 12:09:06 PM)

I wouldn't be coerced into something I deemed immoral.  I could be coerced into doing some imprudent or illegal if I saw the benefits as outweighing the risks.

Uh oh....
We've talked about breaking into here to take creepy pictures.
Is that a wrong thing? There's groups that are into urban exploration and exploring abandoned, privately owned places.
We like this kind of stuff and don't destroy things when we go out searching.
If I was to say no to doing this stuff he would most likely respect it though. I've yet to say no.

Yep, nice info for HIV. You maybe didn't notice this little tidbit just below:
quote:

I should have clarified that I responded only for HIV, not for STDs in general.  That of course is where most of the concern comes up on this forum and elsewhere.  STD transmission risks generally are much higher than for HIV; vary widely between STDs (and I do not have time to try to respond for each separate STD); and in general even fewer data are available than for HIV, so most numbers would be even more uncertain.
There's the whole bit about having to have something to transmit in the first place, coupled with the chance to pass it on. It's a non-zero chance, which means it should be kept in mind. All you need is to be that one in a thousand or whatever.

This goes along with those who believe in mindless submission, doing whatever is asked with no thought as to the outcome, just to prove how submissive they are.

No offense to you red, you know I love your posts and respect you. But, people say things like this often. For me it isn't a measure of trying to prove anything, it's a measure of being wired to truly want to please my partner and being put in a position of having to say no makes that difficult for me. I like to avoid it if at all possible. I can, however, tell anyone that is jeopardizing me to kiss my ass. Thankfully, I have been fortunate enough to communicate up front the things that I will not do and why and have yet to be in a situation where someone is stupid enough to push something that would really endanger me. However, truth be told, I would prefer "mindless submission" over the alternative of having to second guess a Dominant. I don't see that is a negative personally.

Yes.

(See, I am capable of making very short postings, lol.)

DarlingSavage -> RE: When the s type is told to do something illegal. (7/31/2010 6:03:35 PM)

I had a Dom that made me impersonate Snow White.  Boy, was that snotty bitch pissed off!  She had me ARRESTED!  Fucking cow!  The police were confused and couldn't tell the difference between us, so I made them think that SHE was the imposter!  HA, I had THEM fooled!  Then I whistled while I worked on fooling them and they were just SO fooled!  Snow White begged me to stop, but I just kept on whistling anyway!  That'll learn her!

At the end of the day, when we left Disneyland, my Dom said that he was very pleased with my good work and how well I pulled it off.  He took me shopping at the Galleria and bought me a MILLION DRESSES from Betsey Johnson!  And SHOES, too!

This is something that has bothered me for a while.

As a D type, I consider myself responsible for my sub.  So my thoughts on someone who asks his or her sub to do something illegal... My opinion of Mickey Rourke's Dom in 9-1/2 Weeks was not high, but after he ordered Kim Basinger to shoplift, it went to zero.  I had a good friend who exposed herself because her Dom told her to (and the twit had to pay her fine).

Have any of you experienced a D type that gets a kick from ordering a sub/slave to break the law?

(Disclaimer - I  DID once get a sub with a truck to help me dump some unwanted carpet rolls at a Home Depot dumpster after hours... but that was about dumping the stuff, not about thrillseeking)

Actually I did know of a few men who claimed to be “dominant” and made choices that jeopardized the merits of legalities of their given situation. However these men that claimed to be “dominant” did not repeat their choices once the laws of the land were enforced. Mind you, they surely chose to never speak with myself again. That was fine with myself though.

You see, when a man jeopardizes the safety of a woman or puts her in harms way, be it legally or otherwise, I have no tolerance for such, nor do I remain quiet. Morality is a personal choice. My morality simply does not tolerate the conscious misuse OR abuse of power and authority, period!

Violentseternal -> RE: When the s type is told to do something illegal. (7/31/2010 6:19:57 PM)

I guess... with me (and please take my name here as a hint that i am not like others when it comes to morality)!..
for me it would be more about the what and why he was asking.. theres a world of difference from exposing ones self publically and snuff.. two huge differences in illegal! and then theres the other side that not everyone sees the same things as another might in terms of severities (for example, marijuanna is illegal and if a Dom passed me a smoke i cant really say i would freak, phone the cops and get a restraining order lol) as in all life and especially in D/s situations there needs to be more than just a little common sense to make clear judgement calls on such issues:)

DarlingSavage -> RE: When the s type is told to do something illegal. (7/31/2010 6:21:33 PM)

I don't think there's anything wrong with exposing yourself publicly as long as there's no kids around and it's the proper environment, ie not in front of the police station or down at Disneyland.
