My concern was that you tried to pull the wool over some innocent eyes--THAT has nothing to do with being a bitch, it has to do with being human---you pull a joke and then say people are hitting on you with idiotic questions---lower your nose or you'll drown in the next rain--personally I think what you did was rude and arrogant. There are enough fakes and wannaes on this site and you have proven to lean that way, your name IMHO suits.

Geezzz, it was a joke and I didnt see him 'bitching' about anything. He was simply asking if we thought he should delete the dang thing!

So you are stating that I am dastardly and brilliant enought that I can simultaneously be running a clever con job AND a brilliant comedy routine all at once?  Wow, I am sorry I didn't see that the first time, I guess I owe you an apology and I sincerely thank you for such a marvelous compliment!

Any chance you could write me a letter of recomendation to that effect?  As thick as my file is a letter like that would still stand out.

However, the difference I see here is that he has not acted (that we know of) on that profile. The fakers and wannabes won't come to these boards saying 'Hey! This was a fake profile.... what do you think?'. The fakers and wannabes will continue on and prey on those who just don't know any better. <smiles>

You know ... I read your profile, and i did i find it funny; too bad you blew it by having to then re-enforce your ego with your facetious post to draw attention to how "brilliant" you are.  That's the real joke.  Kind of the way Jay Leno forces his punchlines by repeating them 3 times until the audience finally laughs. 

You're really trying to tell us that a person who could write something like that is really surprised that there are naive people who'd respond to it? Surrrrrrre you are...  And I suppose that merely responding to them sincerely wouldn't have done the trick.  No, here you are, not just to point out your funny profile, but what an altruistic individual you are as well!  Now that is certainly a letter you should put in your file.  Then give it to the 12th order to add to theirs.

What surprised me is after seeing the nic "CrappyDom" they would then still fall for the profile.  As for how I respond to them, why would you think my responses would be anything but helpful?

Status: offline 		I thought it was funny. Not really seeing the harm as long as you didn't really try to snag any subbies. If anything it probably is a good lesson for those that did respond to it, to think a bit before contacting a whack job profile next time.

I'm still not sure why others are mad about it, other than just the fact that it was fake. Well, the real fake non-joke profiles, are there to actually snare a sub under false pretenses, this one didn't do that. So where is the harm.

No, but you did feel a need to create another one.  Obviously, you like the attention, because there's nothing in this one you couldn't have covered in the other.  One sentence about your "surprise" would have done, after all, plenty of people pointed out it was just a put-on.  Another post about what a put-on it was is going to stem the naiveté  in the world?

I didn't say your responses were or weren't anything.  I asked if a sincere response to individuals, rather than creating a post that primarily is a vehicle to point to yourself and your admittedly funny profile wouldn't be enough? 
 
I'm doubting your sincerity; shocking I know, given how this whole thing started (sarcasm implied) but perhaps not so shocking when one who is trying to show how concerned they are about people calls someone who questions their methods "a bitch".

Because people in the world are looking for a connection and people use screen names that are pretty raw---hence the reason for a screen name--after all people fall for someone named Egbert--so the name means nothing, the world is filled with lots of people seeking connections, a mate, a place, fulfillment---of which many of you that posted here are seeking---so remember the next one of you that whines about "fakers, fools, wannabes and idiots", you've laughed with one who laughed at you--so to speak. And if you place a profile out there like that, I have no reason to believe you would respond in any other than a facetious manner.

It just seemed sooo over the top, there is no way it was intended to fool people. It was lampooning some of the more over-serious aspects of the lifestyle. With all due respect returned to you, I have to disagree that he intended harm with it.
