truckinslave -> Good news, in time for the midterms (8/2/2010 2:22:29 PM)

The latest Rasmussen poll shows the public now blames 0bama0 for the current state of the economy, not Bush.

Rasmussen

All the trends are in favor of an early and permanenet end to the 0bama0 agenda. Thank God.

A 1% difference in a poll that does not show the +/- for error.

wooooooeeeeeeeeee!

Apparently American is not your first language.

only a thousand people and +-3% so what they are saying is those numbers are easily reversed, in other words, they haven't a fucking clue, either way.

No Ron, you are reading it wrong. it spells the end for democrats everywhere.

Soon there will 535 Republican Representatives and Senators.

It will be a beautiful world!

Yup, and you are gonna be elected pope.

Jeffff -> RE: Good news, in time for the midterms (8/2/2010 3:00:03 PM)

I will make an excellent pope!

It's all about the hat.

Pax Vobiscum!

Please put me in charge of the Vatican secret service... I want to help take over the planet.

A 1% lead ! How will the Democrats ever bridge the gap ?

mnottertail -> RE: Good news, in time for the midterms (8/2/2010 3:26:30 PM)

Take another poll, thats what we'll do.

Democratic analist Bob Beckel now sees the dems losing 40 seats in the House.

Analist ? I thought that was some sort of republican. [8D]

willbeurdaddy -> RE: Good news, in time for the midterms (8/2/2010 4:54:40 PM)

The important thing is the trend, which has gone from 45%/47% to 48%/47%. That is primarily the same loss in confidence in BHO amongst independents that all policy polls show. It will take an economic miracle for the Dems to keep the House, and the Senate is still in play, though a long shot. More importantly on the Senate side, 60 votes will take more than flipping Vermont's RINOs.

DarkSteven -> RE: Good news, in time for the midterms (8/2/2010 5:09:04 PM)

Doesn't necessarily mean anything.  Obama will have an opponent, and his popularity vs the opponent means more than his popularity by itself.

servantforuse -> RE: Good news, in time for the midterms (8/2/2010 5:40:03 PM)

Obama will have nothing to do with the mid terms. Most dems don't even want him around to campaign.

AnimusRex -> RE: Good news, in time for the midterms (8/2/2010 6:28:57 PM)

Rasmussen specializes in polling what they consider to be "likely" voters, i.e., older whiter voters. So they are usually an outlier among pollsters.

But the Dems are looking at losses, no doubt about that.

But here's the thing- I will say it right here and now, if the GOP controls Congress and manages to balance the budget, revive the economy, and end the wars, I will admit my error and eat whatever shit is needed.

Not that I am worried- last I checked, the only serious Republican idea about balancing the budget involved privatizing and cutting Medicare.

Good luck with that. I will gladly let them march under that banner.

Jeffff -> RE: Good news, in time for the midterms (8/2/2010 6:32:31 PM)

At this point, I don't care who does it.

My problem with Obama is his pandering to the other side of the aisle.

He thought if we all worked together we could get something done.

Dumbass.

Since we are talking about an election, those who dont poll "likely voters" are the outliers.

servantforuse -> RE: Good news, in time for the midterms (8/2/2010 6:34:52 PM)

It won't really matter. If the republicans were to gain control of the House, Obama will veto every bill sent his way.

Nonsense. He will do the same thing Clinton had to do...move toward the center. The difference is that so much of Obama's support will be alienated by a move to the center that it still cant save him for 2012.
