quote:
ORIGINAL: Focus50 Intellectual discourse - both their meaning and those who deliberately communicate in such a tiresomely elitist manner amounts to discussions by people of intelligence who aren't terribly smart or worldly with it. Think the Crane brothers of tv's "Frasier" - the award winning show and dialogue actually exploits such pompous waffle exquisitly. Not naming names but we have a few posters here who can't help themselves, either.... It just proves that you don't need intelligence to communicate affectively and coherently; that for some ego-brainiacs, the opposite is more likely. Focus. I usually enjoy the Brothers Crane and their misadventures, especially Niles, but yes, even for a proud elitist like myself, they can sometimes tumble into quite eye-rollingly lacklustre territory. Baah, humbug. :)
