Obviously the four poster bed trumps both. Not only can you tie someone down just as well and creatively, if it's sturdy enough you can get in some suspension bondage!

Just saying. [:D]

But a table has 4 legs with which to secure to, and has that "reach" advantage[:)]

Which are better?

Lamb chops or pork?

Back your choice with facts, please.

I would first need to know what music was playing in the background,
and whether or not I was wearing shoes.[:-]

Lamb can cost like $45 a lb if you order it shipped to you on dry ice from a short life of munching on nothing but mint. But pork tastes more like soilent green, so there's that.

I personally, if given a choice, prefer being a footstool. the whole having boots on me is an added attraction, and whenever I serve as a table, I worry about tipping over and breaking the stemware and spilling the flowerpot. Also, I don't like the table cloth, it is not a becoming look on me, and if you didn't like them vain, ou wouldn't own me in the first place, so that should definitely be a valid argument. So, my answer is, why wasn't footstool a choice, when it is clearly bestest?

Tables are better.

I'll take the chair and some pork chops, grilled to 'just done' not dried out like shoe leather.

NorthernGent -> RE: Which- is better- chair or table? (8/9/2010 1:50:43 PM)

The chair....flexibility guaranteed...you can sit on it...stand on it...eat on it...interrogate someone in it.....and strap it to your back as a flying aid before jumping off a cliff...which incidentally you should try....

pahunkboy -> RE: Which- is better- chair or table? (8/9/2010 2:06:48 PM)

Of course a bed is even better- mattresses are the biggest selling piece of furniture.

considering that people like to sit down- the chair is valuable.   Yet- a table can hold items. Like a buffer table or dinner table.

Aside from my antiques.......the one piece of furniture I will not go without.........MY BED.

Is this a variant of rock-paper-scissors?

I like coffee tables. They're perfect for crawling across the top of them.

subwaythru -> RE: Which- is better- chair or table? (8/10/2010 12:31:56 AM)

Come, now. While this depends largely upon the type of table to which we refer, tables are just all-around more versatible and accomodating than any chair. I enjoy envisioning a fine, square dining table, seating 6 comfortably, with extra leaves creating, in a pinch, room for 10 or 12, preferably of a superior grade mahogany.

Chairs are so much more inexpensive than tables and may be acquired and installed without contacting that "friend with a pickup".

A couple may dine at the table, sitting right on top with plenty of room for foot-dangling, or good little subs may truly be at Master's feet.

The table is commodious enough to accomodate a pair comfortably for sleep, while providing room for a real spread for one, with an easy grip for clamps and binding, should the matter be, as it were, brought to the table. And I hardly need to add that the height and sturdiness of such a piece of furniture affords the finest in leverage and thrust, as proven by many a modern feature film.

Weary of torture? Leave it to the table to beat a chair hands down for those spontaneous late night Monopoly tournaments.

I can go on, and on, as well you know, but I think this time I will spare us all.

Oooh, i like the way you think, miss s! [:D]

i'll add... when all are spent, the party guests have had their fill, retire to the Master's chambre and his four-poster bed, perhaps? [:)]
