Made into a Movie?

My vote goes for the Dresden Files.

I mean come on they have exploited the hell out of twilight, and all that is, is Romeo and Juliet with Vampires!

Wouldn't you like to see a wizard/detective save the world from the forces of Evil?

I am thinking America's Test Kitchen.

The difficulty would be trying to cast the actor that captures those same ruggedly handsome looks, that masculine physique and air and the ever looming devil may care attitude of a Christopher Kimball.

With Bridget Lancaster and Julia Collin-Davison as the obvious love interests it would be a sure firebox office winner.

Adam Reid could play the quintessential type of a "q" character made famous in the Bond films....There seems to be something wrong with one of his eyes so I hope they give him an eye patch.

Eye patches are bad ass shit. (side note, when meeting a sub for the first time I often wear an eye patch and carry a walking stick)

I dare you to pull your eyes from the screen as the Christopher Kimball character tries to mastermind every nuance of the secrets of the "Lemon layer Cake" or tries to engage Lancaster, Collin-Davison and Reid into a tawdry "Four Cheese Lasagna."

America's Test Kitchen the Movie.....* * * * (four stars) Domiguy at the Movies.

Vampire Chronicles, by Ann Rice.....not just Interview, but lets take it from the beginning to the end of the series..trust me, these are not your Disney vamps that you see in Twilight.

Shrugs,  some of that set is good, others it is apparent she was just churning out books. I think the horrible job the people did with Queen of the Damned put a lid on that.

Personally I would be more interested in seeing something down with the Mayfair Witches.  She had certainly honed her writing by the time she started those.

How about the "Dream Fever series" by Karen Marie Moning or the "Outlander" series by Diana Gabaldon?

I would despise if most of my favorite books were made into movies, mostly because I havent seen a good rendition of a book series to movies yet. It always strays from the plot for special effects....

I'm tired of vampires... I'd much rather see the Codex Alera series

I vote for the Necroscope series also by Brian Lumley
Hmm, perhaps the Titus Crow series by him would be awesome. (if done correctly) Nothing like a modern occultist dealing with the ancient ones and the old ones like Cuthulu.
Finally, I believe the Shannara Series by Terry Brooks would make a good set of movies.

The Steve Morgan / Ginnie Challenger series by Rosemary Rogers.
I read these (many times) as a very young girl, and I have been emulating Ginnie ever since.

Thank you for reminding me...I had forgotten about that fiasco.   Maybe some books should remain in print, lol

The Dresden Files was a series on the SciFi channel back in 2007.

It was short lived. I tried watching it but it was boring.

OOOO the Necroscope would be great! I have tht book on my bookshelf, I think I'm going to go back and read it again!

The Wheel of Time Series would be great too! Although I saw a lot of Wheel of Time references or bastardizations in the Legend of the Seeker series on TV.

Loads.
But just off the top of my head: Robert Holdstock/Faulcon's Night Hunter series, Alfred Bester's Tiger! Tiger!, JG Ballard's The Drowned World, HP Lovecraft's At The Mountains Of Madness, ER Eddisson's The Worm Ourobourous, Mick Farren's DNA Cowboys trilogy, Fritz leiber's Fafhrd and Grey Mouser series and Angela Carter's Wise Children.
