Hmm, interesting. I comprise about 1 percent of the population according to that website.

Thank you for your contribution! Every little bit counts

I haven't taken the test lately, but I think, as others I'm also an INTJ. That's 'The General' in non-techy jargon, isn't it?

INTJ.  I will add that I think some of the descriptors are so broad that you can probably find a bit of yourself in all of them.  So I do not take this stuff seriously.  We have had many discussions about this on the message board.  I recall Emperor (where has he gone?) talking to me about it in a thread.

I took the test just to confirm:

I N F P
Strength of the preferences %
33 94 56 89

I'm near the 100% mark on 2 of those. I wouldn't change anything, really. It's so frustrating to be described so well by a simple test. Heh.

However, none of this explains my dominant inclination.

I wish. Atleast it gave me a list of men and spared me the reminder that I share a personality type with Nicole Kidman, Julia Roberts and Princess Diana.

I was playing around with this last night, as I do every couple of years out of curiosity. There's that whole recommended jobs for your personality type, thought I'd see. And um, most of those suggested just don't appeal.

INFP - "Questor". High capacity for caring. Emotional face to the world. High sense of honor derived from internal values.

It just goes to show this sort of thing only shows a facet of your personality. I'm just glad to see I'm not the only INFP with domly tendencies.

INTP furevah!!!

I first took this test (assessment?) about 15 years ago. Long form. I still got 100% Intuitive. Which, with a little reading, cleared up about 33% of my then existing frustrations with the world. Sensates are so... weird. But it was nice to realize that they're just of different orientation and not trying to piss me off. Being aware of the typology really has made it easier for me to communicate with others. I think that's what it's best for.

Also, it was nice to read about the introvert/extrovert distinction, as I'm pretty introverted but never felt shy.

Meliai,

Thank you for reposting those links.

I consistently score as an INTJ.

i remember when i first took this test (in high school; it was for a physics class, believe it or not) i couldn't understand the idea that other people saw the world differently than i did. i guess i assumed everyone was INFP. Funny. Nowadays, i'm kind of okay with being different. Even though it's a pain in the ass.
