He wanted to talk in person, he said.

"I said, 'No, we need to talk now.' "

He went quiet.

"There's somebody else, isn't there?"

She kind of guessed it, of course. Women usually do. But did she know the woman was in her apartment, eating off her plates, sleeping in her bed?

She called a minister they both trusted. He came over to the house the next day and worked with them the whole weekend, but Gingrich just kept saying she was a Jaguar and all he wanted was a Chevrolet. " 'I can't handle a Jaguar right now.' He said that many times. 'All I want is a Chevrolet.' "

He asked her to just tolerate the affair, an offer she refused.

He'd just returned from Erie, Pennsylvania, where he'd given a speech full of high sentiments about compassion and family values.

The next night, they sat talking out on their back patio in Georgia. She said, "How do you give that speech and do what you're doing?"

"It doesn't matter what I do," he answered. "People need to hear what I have to say. There's no one else who can say what I can say. It doesn't matter what I live."

Status: offline 		Nothing new there.  Newt is a slimy piece of work.  A fine example of Republican hypocrisy, do as I say but pay no attention to what I do.  How any of these people on the right can take him seriously is beyond me.

They don't care what kind of people their leaders are, as long as they say what they want to hear. Gingrich is all the proof anyone needs of this.

I agree, she had no problems sleeping with him when he was married, now she knows how the other half feels. She is just as bad as he is, and her word is worth just about the same. Why would I believe anything she has to say?

Your so funny.  Who cares what she has to say?  None of this is new stuff.  We've all known the Newt is one slimy critter for years.  Would you rather just pretend all of the issues with misappropriation of funds, ethics charges and the womanizing didn't exist?

I don't even care about his problems with the women in his life.  But, when your going to run around pushing your view of family values and God  I do expect your life to be an example of what your trying to preach.  

You do remember the little temper tantrum he threw over his "slight" of sitting in the back of Air Force One?  His bragging to a group of reporters about how he shut down the government because of it?

Newt is what he has always been.  A narcissistic hypocrite with low morals.

As for the wife,I believe her.She was as much a victim as anyone else.

The dig that she must be as bad as newty because she slept with him was pretty low class.

But at least bio isn`t attacking board members for calling out cons,now she`s attacking public figures who call out cons.That`s an improvement.

Newt is also credited,I think accurately as the one who brought the present nasty to politics.

When Trudeau cartooned him,he was a bomb,in reference to newty`s nick "the bomb thrower".It was the old timey, round black bomb w/ the smoking fuse.

Trudeau`s cartoon for bush was just a cowboy hat,floating there,referencing "all hat and no cowboy".

But if a smash mouth was throwing elbows and dropping bombs at a work place,the dog park,a squade room,a shop,a club,an association or any gathering ,eventually it`s going to come back around and ruin moral.The leader of any body should set the example as well as push their agendas.

He was their leader and choose this bombastic approach to governing.His legacy,politics by character assassination,.... remains.

Really,what else do the republicans have to offer?

You do enjoy putting words in other peoples mouths, don't you? I said I wouldn't trust anything she had to say. I never mentioned any thing about misappropriated funds, ethics charges or womanizing. Although the fact that she married the guy anyway indicates she didn't care at the time.
