seems I could ask something like should blueberry ice cream be pink
technically, the artificial coloring in blueberry ice cream is made with Red Dye #40, which is the same dye used to make artificial red and pink colors.

btw is red dye actually flea poop???

just wondering as kitten Urmel is covered in it (strangely much more than his brother) and when I comb it out he always ends up in a red kitten...until I shower him...as of course the blood comes out of it which those bastards sucked off him [8|]

You referenced a pulled post and were sent notification.

Folks can we get this train wreck/fighting match back to at least include the words spelling or grammar, or do I kill the thread?

Actually I was going through my emails and I found the one for my post being pulled and it actually said I insulted someone. Cant remember who I insulted or what I said though.

yeah thats how it can go sometimes. when I recently compared someone with Huey, Dewey, and Louie it was also pulled as I mentioned the names whom I compared with them but when someone else mentioned that person with his nikname then it was ok [8|]

Here's my take: I read very early in life, am an unpublished writer, and was an English major in school. I am not perfect, nor do I ask perfection of those who communicate with me, but intelligent effort in this regard is a -MUST-. I have refused messages with prospects who could apparently not be bothered to check their spelling and/or grammar, although I only tend to offer additional insults to those who offer them first.
Fortunately, I am fluent in Typonese..

Funny I am a published writer and I sling it on here as I expect everyone on here knows how to read and write in Typonese.

Is it alright to insult someone for spelling of grammatical error
If the person doing the insulting can still look at themselves in the mirror in the morning and be okay with what they see, then I think that it is just fine.  It is really a question of the persons own morals and ethics.

 why do so many get away with it?

Because we have bribed the mods.

Why are you worried about it?

How does this really affect your life?

Have you nothing else to do with your time?

Would this be a good time to ask..........why are posts being pulled from a thread in P&RS?

Because P&RS is not "Anything Goes".

You are scaring me about the fleas.  A diabetic friend of mine lost an entire litter because of fleas...they were nice fat little babies but when I looked at their gums they were white.  By the time he could afford to take them to the vet they were dead.  Vet said they had been anemic.

I brought up diabetic because my friend's legs weren't sensitive because of this, and he didn't notice flea bites like I did when I walked into his apartment and had about 40 of them jump onto my legs and start feasting.

There are flea drops to put on a kitten 3 weeks old, I think, called Revolution.  It has to be gotten from a vet.  I would have this on the kitten who attracts the most fleas at the very least.

Two of my girls are very flea bite sensitive.  I use a metal toothed flea comb on my cats several times per week...whoever is on my lap and gets brushed gets the flea comb next, lol.  Often I cannot find a single flea, but if either of my two girls start getting scabs I put Advantage on them.  I'm funny about poisons (as my lymphoma was probably triggered by heavy insecticide use from an apartment building I used to live in) so I don't use them every month, nor even on the same cats.

~~~~~fast reply~~~~~
Back to spelling now. [;)]
My old crippled computer cannot download something that is required to use CM's spell checker.  I would love to download it just to see where I mess up...I dislike getting worse as the years go by.  I keep a big, farking dictionary at my desk but do not feel like looking anything up unless a word is driving me crazy. [:D]
As far as punctuation goes...I SUCK and I know it.  I am going to have to read a book I made my son read just to brush up on it again.  Nobody has made fun of me but it bothers me anyway.
I used to have a very sharp mind, in spite of some dyslexia and ADD, but now after those years when I had chemos and have experienced something referred to as "chemo brain" I see that it is very difficult for me to remember numbers and names.  Part of it is also from fried ovaries, as I've heard that menopause or periomenopause can mess up the mind a bit too.  I hate all of it and I miss my old mind and want it back...anyway, since I live in a glass house I try not to throw stones.
If I see something glaring in someone's profile and I choose to let them know, it is not done to insult them.  In the forums, I try not to make any comments about it.  If someone is acting like a troll and seems to enjoy egging on a fight and duking it out with everyone, it is harder to resist...
ShaharThorne -> RE: Is it alright to insult someone for spelling of grammatical error and if not why... (8/22/2010 11:09:29 AM)
See...this is how the Hide button works.
First, you will see 3 buttons under the persons' name: Hide, Profile and PM.
You put your censor on the Hide button.
Then you click (left of course).
And behold!  No more nonsense from the offender.  How do you like them apples?
All in a day's work, I am telling you...
