ORIGINAL: MissAsylum in an attempt to save money during the school year, i'm trying to make my own coffee at home instead of shelling out 6 bucks a pop for coffee everyday. what are some brands of coffee that i can get easily (market or amazon) that are pretty decent? i prefer already ground or instant for the sake of time. Try Folger's singles. They're decent, and real coffee, done in tea bag format that essentially brews in your cup in the microwave. I use them all the time when I go camping. Pretty good honestly. I'm something of a coffee snob. I ordered mine for years from maui coffee company and ground it cup by lovely cup. It was damned pricey though. Even so, my brother is the one who got me into the singles market. You can vary the strength by the amount of water you use. They're good for decent strength at a full cup. A bit less water gets you stronger coffee. Its not the best by any means, but it is a decent cup of coffee, fairly cheap and for me, a great answer to the fact that I hate coffee in a pot that's been there more than a few minutes.
