I think I can see this.  I'm not a dominant, but I can somehow readily understand why dominants across the world get an especially tremendous buzz out of the idea of dominating Americans.

That works in the opposite direction across the pond, too.

Just thought I'd mention it.

Perhaps this explains all the email I get from ...

British Royalty, vacationing in Ghana! [;)]

While race isn't of primary importance, I have always enjoyed the luxurious feeling of having an exotic.  Obviously personality and compatibility matter more, but there is a piggish side of me that likes to say "Look at my exotic pet ". Also, I am intrigued by the possibilities of roleplay based on race or nationality, though I haven't really indulged in it.  I won't mention the possibilities here, as they could be deemed quite unPC and offensive by some, but in my opinion, what two adults consent to is perfectly fair.

Lets be honest here for a second and have a open discussion. Is it me or is it hotter when you Dom a slave or submissive who is of different race than yourself.
It's you.

I'd be totally turned off if I knew that he was chasing after me just because I was a different race, or because I wore my hair in a certain way. I need to be a real person to him, not have him see me as fulfilling some pre-existing fantasy in his head.

*fast reply*

As I've stated numerous times when this topic has come up, there is always something that first attracts our attention to people, whether in a good way or a bad way. For me, the first thing that triggers a second glance (if the person is a stranger to me), is appearance. If it is a man, and he is dark skinned, I will probably look a little longer. If he is black and has a shaved head, I will be peeking over my menu for another few seconds. If he has those two things going on (and is taller than 6', so I guess that's three things), then I may be enticed to get to know him even better. If he has no sense of humor and isn't very bright, then I'm not going to be interested anyway. So, just because I see a tall, black man with a shaved head, it doesn't mean that those are my only criteria to be with him. Those things are merely the "lures" that pique my interest.

I'm not going to be upset with a guy because he likes redheads or curvy, white girls, and that's something that I have/am, and it's the reason he makes first contact with me. We all have something that makes us get a second glance from people. It's backing up the second glance with a brain, a personality, or a sense of humor that tends to be the hard part for some people.
