Why would you applaud a party that votes in complete unison with each other?

To me that indicates either a complete lack of independent thought or a complete desire for the support of the party to be re-elected.

Yes, I suppose it was audacious of me to hope that the Democrats would come together to deliver on the change that people believed in when they voted the party's candidate into the Presidency. Please accept my apology?

At least it's a good thing that they don't care much about getting re-elected, eh?

I don't know what will happen.

But for comparison's sake, Reagan's approval ratings were 10 points lower at this point in his presidency.

Which puts them in a statistical tie, given that Obama couldnt do anything to alienate 90% of 18% of the voters.

You weren't a math major, were you.

Isnt the "no worker left behind" a Michigan inniative, meaning a state applied one and not the federal level that began in 2007?

You could be right. I thought it was something Obama came up with and have been giving him credit for it.

If you think that analyzing the actual vote in the 2008 election is racist (veiled or otherwise), then you are overly sensitive and see things through a racist prism of your own

I think it is a way to negate the entire vote of 2008 by making a false point that black people shouldn't count as much as white people do when it comes to a voting block... you are insinuating that they aren't "real" americans by stating if we discount their vote the percentage of approval would go down... how would you feel if I said we should just negate every white cousin dater in the south? They predominantly vote conservative after all
Us classy suthners would never date less than a second cousin once removed.  Please don't lump us all together.

No, I think it is a good thing when our representatives think for themselves instead of being led around by the nose for the sake of party unity.

If the party goals were worthwhile then they could easily unite behind them.

I have to agree with this.

Working Congress is not one of Obama's strengths.

And just as Republicans are famous for self-destruction by over-reaching, Democrats are famous for standing in a circle and firing. But as Democrats range from conservative to progressive, I don't see how this can realistically change. I do wish they'd hash it out in conference, though, then move forward with a solid common platform.

Yes, we could have, and still can, try the Republican method of 'Being American'. Of course, we'd bring Goodwin's Law in to the discussion. Republicans to America, is like watching tentacle monsters in Anime; You know its going to be distrubing and wrong no matter how you spin it to a friend.

The country could have done alot (and still can), without so many mindless, hateful and clueless conservatives. The only people voting against change and better things, are Republicans. The only ones not coming up with many ideas, are Republicans. When they do bring up ideas, Republicans then vote against those ideas. Its a very simple mathematical formula to conservatives:

Country Fails = Obama Fails = Republicans Win

Even now, as we go in to the elections for November, what do the Republican canidates talk about? Certainly not the economy, energy, war, national debt, or handling many pressing issues. When they do, its in very broad and vague terms; better to not be tacked down, when they have to break their promise later on (a lesson learned from George W. Bush on Iraq....). The subjects they do talk about, dont effect most of America. Illegal immigrants arent even on the radar in the Northeast. Yes, we get 'em, so what? We get Republicans too, their just as bad.

I rather have illegal immigrants then Republicans; at least the illegal immigrants work hard to achieve something better for those around them. When was the last time a Republican helped America, without giving kickbacks to themselves or their rich golfing buddies?

Republicans have ALOT to answer for, and not alot of crebility. WHY....should we rehire them back to office?
