I really just want him to leave me alone and stop harassing me! Then I can have peace. How to Please God Every Day To please God is not as simple as one might think. It is more than obeying his commandments, even all his commandments. Find out how you can really please God. In pleasing him you will find life most enjoyable. There is a fuller, deeper way of pleasing God, a way that he desires all of us to have because it is a way which also most satisfies our yearning to please God. Stated simply it is this: We please God everyday by enjoying him everyday. Or to put it in another way, God is most pleased with us everyday if we enjoy him more and more everyday. When we realize this, that God is in everything, then we can enjoy God in everything. And enjoying him we please him. We enjoy God every day and we shall please him every day. I try to please God everyday in the same way I try to please my Master everyday...being the best person I can be, obeying, listening, paying attention, doing what is required of me in the best possible way I can, communicating. When I am pleasing to Him I am enjoying Him.

Yanno Brain, it just occurred to me that maybe he harrasses you because you please him. After all, you sure do seem to enjoy him being there. Yeah, you bitch and complain, but I'm sure he knows that you need him. I mean hell, think about it, if the Republicans ever clean up their act who would you have to hate? That's a long shot I admit, but still, it has to give you a nice feeling of security to know that you can always count on God to take your shit no matter what. And weird as it is, your relationship with him is actually kinda cute in a sick sorta way. I hope you'll share many more threads like this one with us. K.

Thread not read. Not right now buddy. The Christian way is that of charity and forgiveness and I tried. I did the best I could. I forgave unauthorized CC uses, the pot disappearing, the lack of contribution. I got a fucking DUI trying to help them as well. I should have stayed home. And then I wake up and I find the recipients gone, along with their clothes and toiletries, and My only working DVD player and ALL the money out of my wallet. I am starting to think that at least half of the people who need charity do not fucking deserve it. Sorry to rain on your BBQ dude, but I am in a prettty foul mood right now and I am almost ready to give up. Not on life quite yet, but it's going top be a long fucking time beore I ever help someone again. And I have no idea what else is missing. They lived with me, for free, but they got back on the crack. I don't think I'll ever do it again. What does your God say about that ? T

A guy stopped me while I was coming out of a gas station one day. He started to preach to me about God and held up his Bible. I told this: "Let me stop you very quickly. You see, God and I have a deal-I'll be the best person I can be. I'll be generous and conscious of how my choices impact others and I'll do my best to make good choices about how I'll spend my life and treat others with kindness. In return, God told me that I would be left to my own devices, I would not be harassed by someone holding up His Book or trying to teach me about what He wants from me.
