Do you even get FOX NEWS up in Canada Lucy? Or do you get all your info about FOX from far left blogs.

criminalize??? SNORT that is funny
Where one word says I want to criminalize anything?
you are seeing things again
the mushrooms around the base of your tree are not doing you any favours.
Now...Sanity, answer the question...
or can you without spinning?

Sanity -> RE: The damage being done (8/24/2010 7:57:07 AM)

The sun shines, theres no need to prove that statement either unless youre so partisan youre going to try to deny that as well.

Lucylastic -> RE: The damage being done (8/24/2010 8:00:50 AM)

THIS ISNT ABOUT FOX NEWS
the reception in my igloo is fine and yes, I can get fox news here but gasssssssp, guess what??? I read their website daily too
I actually do NOT read ANY farleft blogs, my daily list includes, Fox, CNN, BBC, CTV,CBC and Google News(aggregate)
My pet and I discuss Drudge stuff daily and I use huffington post for the dumb stuff
now are you going to offer a response to your lie loving??? or just obfuscate some more???

Sanity -> RE: The damage being done (8/24/2010 8:05:08 AM)

Samboct made the thread about FOX NEWS here.

I suppose to certain people every thread should be about FOX NEWS...

And I never wrote that you personally wanted to criminalize free speech, wherever did you get that.

Lucylastic -> RE: The damage being done (8/24/2010 8:09:48 AM)

ok obfuscate it is
bye now

flcouple2009 -> RE: The damage being done (8/24/2010 8:31:30 AM)

Oh Lucy,

The question was since Obama saying he is Muslim is no where in the actual transcript of the speech is it OK to just make up and report that he did.

Notice how deftly Sanity avoided that topic and went on his FOX meanderings?

Lucylastic -> RE: The damage being done (8/24/2010 8:48:52 AM)

Im guessing it must be..
when a man has no integrity, he has nothing.
YMMV
:)

Polite,

Notice how skillfully he avoided the actual question.

Tsk tsk Flc, very poor use of the word skillfully. [;)]

Sanity -> RE: The damage being done (8/24/2010 11:14:24 AM)

If by obfuscate you meant I cleared up your muddy logic you would be correct.

Why do the mods allow Sanity to hijack every thread with a subject matter he dislikes?

I find Willbur less annoying than Sanity.

I wonder why the moderators allow certain individuals to try to make every thread about ME.

I'm wondering how much extra attention a poster might garner from said mod's after speculating on the manner in which they perform their thankless tasks?

hertz -> RE: The damage being done (8/24/2010 2:06:26 PM)

Is he not a Muslim then?

AsmodaisSin -> RE: The damage being done (8/24/2010 2:07:59 PM)

Personally speaking...I don't give a shit.  The guy's faith is what he wishes it to be.  I'm sure we've all questioned our fate at least once or twice in our lifetime.  Maybe he did the same a few times?  I don't know and I know care.  I'm just sick and tired of people harping about it.  If he's a flying spaghetti man worshiper, that's his choice.

No, President Obama is not a Muslim. Contrary to what many on the conservative side of the line keep saying.

Teasing! Question though: Has the US media given up making the effort to be even-handed? I seriously fear for your future. How is it possible to manage a democracy when the media can invent and report whatever lies it wants as if they were true?

I like freedom as much as the next man (usually, anyway), but if that means a free press can tell lies to the point where democracy is subverted, then I'm not so sure. Surely the point of democracy is that people make their choice based on fact and opinion, not lies and deception?

Or am I being a bit harsh?

Sacred Heart University National Poll: Trust and Satisfaction with the National News Media

Those named most frequently as the television news organization most trusted for accurate reporting in 2009 included: Fox News (30.0%), CNN (19.5%), NBC News (7.5%) and ABC News (7.5%).

In an interesting twist, though...

Fox News was also the television news organization trusted least. Just over one-quarter, 26.2%, named Fox News, followed by NBC News (9.9%), MSNBC (9.4%), CNN (8.5%), CBS News (5.3%) and ABC News (3.7%).

Nevertheless...

Researchers asked respondents which television news organization they turned to most frequently. The top five news organizations were Fox News (28.4% - up from 26.5% in 2007), CNN (14.9% - down from 16.0% in 2007), NBC News (10.6% - down from 11.8% in 2007), ABC News (9.3% - down from 11.0% in 2007), and "local news" (7.6% - down from 8.5% in 2007).

Public opinion is itself a fact. Get over it. There was nothing in my post which implied the further conclusion that your comment addresses.

If you had no intention of implying anything beyond the simple facts as you presented them then your post was off topic and a non sequitur. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and assumed you meant to be on topic. My bad.

You should contact the mods and get your post deleted since it has nothing what so ever to do with this thread.
