Being labeled as vanilla upon entering a new lifestyle website annoyed me. Excuse me for wanting to have myself properly 'labeled' around here.

Oh good grief it is an emblem that should not define who you are and it sure does not define how others see you. However, I do beleive your attitude in this post does that.

Again, I ask for a thousand pardons. I can only hope my future postings don't rub you the wrong way again. Thanks for your warm welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the boards. Remember when you post asking for help, advice, rant, ect you will always get a response it may not the response your hoping for, looking for, or even want but that is part of being an open forum.

I'm really sorry about that asking for help on how to change it part, too.

Do you truly think that CM should change something they have done since before my time here simply because it annoys you. Remember you choose to come to this site. You choose to join and participate. Also remember this is a "free" site so perhaps you should be grateful it is here at all.

I can only hope you'll live. Thanks for pointing out to me, and everyone else on the forum just how out-of-line I truly was. ( The horror .... the horror ... ! )

Again just because you did not get the answer you want is no reason to be a become rude. People took time to answer your question, did some of them take the opportunity to tease a little? Yep, however; your a big boy I am sure you have heard worse than LA's answer.

LOL @ benji.  You're absolutely right.  I wasn't crazy about the newbie either but what the hell?  Who cares?  It's just an itty bitty ice cream cone.
Dom it.

Deep... please stop acting like you are the only one here who is serious about the life OR the only one who has a job---all you have to do is send your grievance to the Mods, and get to 25 posts, then you will be out of the ice cream cone---but you have to have a sense of humor---if you had read the TOS, the rankings are explained in there----now be a good Dom and lighten up a tad----the ice cream cone only means you are a posting newb, you better calm down or you won't handle the fakers, wannabes and pretenders.

benji, more martinis hon and uhm its olive juice, not mud--

I do think that you would have done much better to just have asked about the vanilla cone, rather than trash another group of peoples' lives. So, now we all know, you don't like vanilla and they don't like you.
I happen to have many vanilla friends that I've no intention of getting rid of, just because they're vanilla.
Just because they don't agree with your lifestyle doesn't mean that ALL vanilla people are bad. You are just pointing out your inability to be open minded, which is rather odd since you're saying you've expanded your mind to include this lifestyle, or is only the things you're personally interested and all else is evil?

*Sighs*  Excuse me for having an annoyance! Yes, I would prefer a truck. I don't know about you, but I am serious about this D/s stuff as part of my life.

Honestly, most of the humour on this thread was not aimed directly at you. As regulars we've seen many people post this question before, and the answer is short and easy. Much more fun to sharpen our wits than to type the quick answer.

I hope you can see the ice cream cone as it's meant to be seen...humorously. It only indicates that you are new to the boards, and no one here will assume you're new to the lifestyle or not serious.

Welcome to the boards, we get a little crazy sometimes, but heck, life should be fun, no?

I don't think a Jewish fellow, entering a Jewish website would like a swastika put on his postings ... or a black man a rebel flag on his, for entering a black panther's website ... now, I could be wrong about that, but EXCUSE me for having an opinion on how I am labeled (without my knowledge or consent ) when I enter a forum. Gosh, I sure was out of line, wasn't I? Geeze, I sure picked on people, and ruffled feathers, didn't I? Heck, I was only stating how I felt, and man, was THAT wrong! Thanks for setting me so straight ! I was asking how to change something that annoyed me, not for snap-shot insults and psycho-analysis, but hey! Thanks for playing! I can only hope I am not banned, from the site, for being so vulger!

I do have a job ... which is partly why I don't have time to argue with you. Last post for you, dude. Have a good life.

Eh.. don't sweat the small stuff, DDM.  This ain't nothing. Just wait until you get involved in a sub vs slave thread, a no limits thread  .. or even worse.. a pro-domme thread. This is kiddie stuff compared to that. Of course, if you're really a masochist, start a thread on anything political in the Off Topics catagory. ::chuckles::

Here.. have a cookie. ;)

Hiya, benji. Thanks for the orders.

You know, I am racing my way to 26 posts, as part of my plan, now that I know how things work around here. My thanks to all the people who answered my question informatively and/or humorously. .As to the people who leapt to judgement and insults ... well, that is why I rarely post anymore.

MHOO314 .... I'd like to point out that I hardly believe that I am acting like I am the only one here who takes the lifestyle seriously. I simply stated that I do.

Grey goose, not a problem!

I would highly recommend 3 Olives as well.  Not 3 Olives, but the brand of Vodka.

Yours,

benji
