That was cute ... and kudos to the operator for not just hanging up or being an asshat to the kid over it.
However, I did wonder about all the emergency calls there were maybe not getting through.

But still, a very cute posting.

OMG, when my oldest son was 4 years old, he called 9-1-1 because he got up in the middle of the night and couldn't wake me. He told the operator I was dead. EMTs, police and firemen came rapping upon my door (nobody EVER mistakes THAT kind of knocking!) and when I answered, they asked if anyone in the house was hurt. I told them no, but they said the call was made from inside the house. I turned around, saw the guilty look on my son's face and said, "Stick around, someone might need you!"

Almost the same story except when the cops came to my home they had to come in and see that everyone was OK. They were cool about the situation though.
