Oops! Sorry! I meant to say that I do not believe men are inferior to women. Apologies!

You should be punished for that.  Hmmm.... let me count the ways.

Wow!  A quote from 350 years ago to try to make a point.

Hold on.  Let Me go dig up a statement from a few centuries back about how the world is flat and the center of the universe.

I completely 100% agree with LadyPact.  350 years ago, the world was flat.  [:)]

wildfiresubmiss -> RE: Women are born/built by design to be submissive and have to be taught to be any other way. (8/28/2010 6:28:40 PM)

I think someone forgot to tell that to my mother! (LOL)

Submissive my ass! She was HELL on two legs. I watched her make men cower and she was 5'5" and 100lb. DRIPPING WET! (LOL)
You did not want to piss her off.

We were downtown one time and a "bible beater" made the SAD mistake of singling my mother out of the crowd, saying something in tongues and then WHACKING my mother in the head with his bible. Well you never heard such "purple" language in your life and I think she was so mad she may have spoke in some tongues herself. (LOL)

And yes, she did tell him what to do with his bible and it wasn't to read it either.

So I think that every woman is different. Society may TRY to teach all women to be submissive but it doesn't mean that they will succeed.

More than once I've been accused of NOT being submissive. I AM submissive. I am just not a dumbass, not into being used unless I too benefit from it, damn sure not into being abused and have no self esteem issues or sanity problems. Now if that makes me dominant, OH WELL. I'd say it makes me recognize what is a healthy way of being treated and what is just insanity in action.

I wonder if they took a poll on women born under the Aries sign of the zodiac if the majority would be Dominant. I'd care to wager, yes. My mother was and a female friend of mine who is also an Aries is not submissive either. It'd be interesting to see the results of that one. Aries is a Fire sign and the most Dominant sign in the zodiac. I don't think being female or male really matters. Both seem to be leaders, take charge or just be controlling I guess.

DesFIP -> RE: Women are born/built by design to be submissive and have to be taught to be any other way. (8/28/2010 7:21:26 PM)

Since the op finds women to be so terrible, I'm surprised that he's desperate to get one to sleep with him. Why not turn gay? Assuming any gay male would have him.

I'm just curious about the "no woman composers" thing. I can think of a great many off the top of my head, and a quick google search of "female composers" has returned a VERY long list. It seems your sources, much like your statements, are flawed.

Isabelle Stayt (of the Campaign for the Feminine Woman) 1983. There are no woman composers, never have been, and possibly never will be.

The OP is one big fat ass load of incredibly misogynistic crap. I happen to be a natural submissive, but there are plenty of naturally Dominant females out there too. Try getting Them to believe that crap.

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: Women are born/built by design to be submissive and have to be taught to be any other way. (8/28/2010 10:26:36 PM)

Obviously Isabelle Stayt was either talking out of her ass, or being fascetious - not having read her writing and not knowing if the quote was taken out of context or not, I can't say. Either way, if you are citing that quote as a source to prove some vague and obscure point here are just a FEW female composers:

Francesca Caccini was one of the best-known female composers and performers of the Baroque era. Moreover, she is the first woman known to have written an opera. Unfortunately only one of her operas, La liberazione di Ruggiero dall’isola d’Alcina, survives.

Barbara Strozzi
What little is known about Barbara Strozzi (also known as Barbara Valle) suffices to make her an extremely intriguing figure. Perhaps the most outstanding female composer of the seventeenth century, Strozzi studied under respected musicians and published eight collections of her music. Music, however, was possibly not her only means of support as several sources indicate she may have been a courtesan as well.
