Maybe this is the solution?

Let's hope not

I have always taken criticism very well, and learn everyday, if you read my post, I do not criticize anyone, I basically say that it is up to all of us to decide what is right for ourselves.

Absolutely, and I hope that you didn't take anything that I said personally. If you look at many of my posts, you will see that I routinely post disagreements with people that I like and respect. Whether or not someone agrees with me about something is quite independent of what I think of them as a person.

I use the words we, and us because I would not say I am right, or my wy is best. These are open forums for opinion, which I have given, and from this forum I take quite a bit of information and knowledge.

I appreciate your opinions! I'm sure we all do. There won't ever be a One Right Way for everybody, we can only express our opinions, explain them, and let everyone decide for themselves what perspective they favor. But the lack of One Right Way for everybody does not mean that every way must be considered flawless. Everything has flaws.

A long time ago, I taught martial arts. Because everyone is different in physiology and personality, I would do something very unorthodox and teach each of them three to six ways, from various arts, to accomplish the same thing (e.g. escape from a certain hold). They would try all of them out, then take the moves that they were most comfortable with and which were stylistically consistent, and eventually have their own unique and personal fighting style. I couldn't teach the one right way, because there is no such thing. But I could teach the right way for each student. Long after I had quit teaching, it was nice to run into some of them and see how far their personal arts had evolved.

I think of these boards as serving a similar purpose. We all learn about different approaches and views, and get to hear them debated in one fashion or another. We all express opinions about what we think is good and what is not so good, whether it's by championing things we like best, or by expressing our negative view of their opposites. In the end we have plenty of fodder for those who wish to continue finding their own personal style. For this reason I find agreement on these boards to be valuable, and well explained and reasoned disagreement to be even more so. If it feels more like unpleasant and counterproductive discord to you, then you have my apology.

I would like to get E/everyones thoughts on this matter and see where they stand on the rapidness of such collarings.

I was only seeing my Master (real-time) for a few weeks before he gave me a collar. I was feeling very insecure about things. He said, "Would a collar help?" and took me to a pet shop and bought me a nice little leather collar. The meaning of the collar has changed over time but I don't feel it was wrong it give it out early under the circumstances. My only point in relating this is that people give and accept collars for different reasons. There really aren't rules.

Take care :)

Shouldn't we be asking :

How fast do you want to be owned...how fast do you want to own...just like in many aspects of life itself...and even sometime...

I guess that it's all about the essence of the relation which is represented by the "Ring"
