The Mods here are way more lenient that those I worked with in the past.

Amen to that.  They really go out of their way to remain neutral and politically correct.  As mod, in my old forums, I would have IP banned idiots like this and made sticky, like hanging their heads on stakes at the castle gates, to show all the other idiots that I really do ban people for being stupid.

Imagine if we took a pole to ban assholes that post threads like this?  Do you think he would survive the vote?

See, RS and I think *similarly* We are both pro moderator, and we both know that stupid cannot be fixed except by repeated blows of a blunt instrument.

Lance (a male Dom, BTW) adds his vote FOR the Mods, and points out that "stupid cannot be fixed except by repeated blows of a blunt instrument," but adds that the number of blows must be sufficent to kill. LOL!

ETA: If that be a TOS violation, I'll surely take the 2 weeks with pride in my heart.

Just for the record, I am not a board user anymore. I used to be before I became ALpha. I do not post as a user AT ALL.

Why is that? Superman has Clark Kent, Batman has Bruce Wayne, Spiderman has Peter Parker... why don't you have a secret identity as well?

Wow I am truly moved. what a sacrifice you have made for so many. To give of yourself just so others can feel safe and still yet other can feel censored you make me proud to be a CM member I might make myself  up a T shirt promoting just that. "Loud and Proud on CM" Then everyone can ask me what CM means and I can show them my brand new ASSLESS Chaps!

I do not think you understand or can grasp what is given up by becoming a Mod.

You are no longer a "friend" and you can no longer "butt out of it" when people you have known for years break a rule.

You are no longer able to offer the wealth of knowledge you have gained, on the threads to posters or to start new threads about topics you would like to learn more about.  You can no longer add to random threads or post things of a nature that might reveal who you were. you have to be careful of your posting style how you paragraph things, because believe it or not people pick up on those types of things.

You have to remain impartial and follow the guidelines and make tough calls. Moderatings not easy, and sure some people are going to be upset when the get modspanked.  Please try to understand that people are offering their extra time to do a job for free. A job they are constantly degraded for and talked down to about. Do you know what its like to be constantly browbeaten when all you want to do is make the site a better place for the good of the Entirety?

They created rules, wither you believe it or not if you were banned it was because you broke those rules, if you are unclear im sure any mod would be happy to explain it to you. Hell Even 11 used to do that if you asked nicely.

And think hard who really likes to be told by authority they are in the wrong? Who is really going to enjoy being told if you dont do that again youll have a ban. Also remember you most likely got warnings prior to the ban you were told most likely in most cases more then once your behavior was unacceptable (Im sure more then one poster here has received a gold lettered message for a forum post at least ONCE in their history)

Please try to remember the hard work these men and women do for you for free the next time you put down a mod because you didnt like their call.

Hello? Quite a fast 2 weeks by my reckoning.
Glad to see you back!  I've always enjoyed your out-there brand of humor/posting.  And evidently, you stepped over the "out-there" line.  All in all, welcome back, I, for one, missed you.

In all seriousness then, I did post for a short bit, but since there was a lot of comments about the POSSIBILITY of mods posting as regular users and also as mods, I chose not to do that at all. Consequently, sometimes my moderator posts do have some personal comments in them, which I also know has drawn comments..I gotta say something sometimes though, damn!!! [;)] I also fee this way it is very obvious what I say(I do try to keep my PERSONAL opinions to myself, sometimes successfully, sometimes, not so much) I was a pretty prolific poster at one time. My other profile is still active though, as I am a lifestyle domme with real life experience, and do meet people here from the site.

BentUnit -> RE: FOR MODERATORS OR AGAINST MODERATORS? (8/31/2010 7:04:41 AM)

Hhahahha..I humbly beseech the Goddesses of Mod to lift Domi's [Awaiting Approval] for this thread only so he might cast pearls of enlightenment, wisdom, rocks and sticks upon the erring troll.

*Please note*
At this point I'd sacrifice a virgin..but fuck me! do you think I could find one of those mythical beasts?
Would abasing myself on thread be adequate enough?

VideoAdminAlpha -> RE: FOR MODERATORS OR AGAINST MODERATORS? (8/31/2010 7:05:42 AM)

He put that awaiting approval on there himself...he is free to post, and I hate I have to leave this thread for real life, but will be back shortly to see (insert Paul Harvey voice) the rest of the story.

edited to add: I assume you meant me, lol.

LanceHughes -> RE: FOR MODERATORS OR AGAINST MODERATORS? (8/31/2010 7:05:43 AM)

ETA:  Lance, being the "old fart" he is, needs to type faster. LOL!
Oh, wait........ isn't that a TOS violation?  Name calling?  Or doesn't it apply to one's self?  So confused.....

Time to lock this up, y'think?

Supporters have had their say.  Denigrators have had their say.  Poll results are not changing.

BUT!  We have DomiGuy awaiting approval.
AND! We have VideoAdminSigma awaiting approval. WASSUP wid dat?

I Know how hard it is to remove snark from posting, I know how hard it is to remain impartial, even if a topic completely and utterly goes against everything in your being, you still cant just use your powers to smite them away. Thats tough and its not a job Id have enough tact or skill to preform for MANY MANY MANY years.

VideoAdminAlpha -> RE: FOR MODERATORS OR AGAINST MODERATORS? (8/31/2010 7:09:29 AM)

This thread will be locked in about 2 hours....countdown time for those that didnt post.
