quote:
It's about time the war is over. I think the Iraqis have a lot of nerve expecting America to stay in the country after all the money and lives that have been spent. Even if it means civil war the United States has to leave Iraq. H'mmm, I wonder did the Iraqi's invite the US Army to come and demolish their infrastructure. Removing a tyrant and neutralising any possibility of wmd's is one thing, but destroying anything that made them anywhere near twentieth century was not necessary, yet it was done. The money spent is only fair for more or less blasting the Iraqi people back to more or less the stone age, as to the lives spent, though they are regrettable, they are expendable by virtue of being in the armed forces in time of conflict and those that gained, do they really care, or are they just forming the words to be politically correct. I only hope for all the money spent and blood spilled it was worth it and the rest of the world let alone the US can now be confident there is one less unknown quantity in the area that feeds the world with the oil it needs to survive and ensures it's political stability. If a civil war is left in Iraq, it might have all been for nothing, for the sureties gained might be swept away with the turn of a new leader.
