Time to test that theory...

Sounds like a good idea.

Except I just realized I have no idea how to write a spam mail.

No matter what I write, it'll end up looking something like this:

"Cheerful greetings, Unknown Person,

If you appreciate the here-enclosed picture of me grooming my lawn on a Sunday afternoon, please respond in a somewhat jovial manner.

If not, I'd be happy to replace it with something you might find more entertaining -like a picture of a cat with funny captions all over it.

If you'd like any more motivation, please call 999 - 444 - 566. I can also converse in French, but only when I'm not entirely sober. And I don't drink.

I'd like to give you a Yahoo user name, but let's face it, I can't agree to those Terms of Service.

Thinking of you, always and eternally,
T.

P.S. *Wink*"

Click on a 'send message' button on a profile, click copy, click paste, click send, rinse repeat.

They aren't doing it in one go, they are genuinely doing it one-by-one.

I have a pic of a rabbit as my avatar.

A week or so ago I got a message from someone with a rabbit fetish. He included a long, badly written story about the sexual exploits he'd like to have with the rabbit in my pic.

Just to clarify, that wasn't a thinly-veiled saddo-porno story about having sex with a 'bunny girl'. It was about shagging a rabbit. I nearly lost my lunch

Against my usual practise, I replied to him. It wasn't nice, and I hope he took at least part of my advice seriously. Hopefully the part where he becomes the meat in a two-vehicle sandwich. Then I reported and blocked him.

It's strange out there, I tell ya...

Bunny, I want this to be a nice, positive, happy thread about how admin has clearly taken on board an issue and dealt with it effectively.

I do NOT want it to be about rabbit-fuckers!

(seriously, of all the things I thought would go without saying...)

lol - admin are doing a fab job with getting the pixel-thief spammers off the site.

I'm just miffed that someone would rather shag A bunny than THE bunny...

Hey, Subpet715, I could use some more of those cat pics.
The spam mail seems to be more successful than planned.

(Not really, but I believe in it!)

Sounds repetitive and frustrating...
The kind of thing you'd want to delegate to someone else... You see people? I think like a "leader"!

See, now that I took the bulk of the text out of my profile, I wonder if I am kind of ASKING for it... or should I just report all the unsolicited mail? It's not like they were reading my profile anyway!!

But I just did not WANT to read whatever the toilet guy had to say. SO Much simpler to delete unread.
