So everyone should just lower their prices to the equivilent of third world countries? That might work if everyone was willing to do that. But they're not. While products made in foreign countries might be less expensive than products made in the US, I don't see landlords lowering their rent to 5 cents a day or utility companes lowering their rates. With many jobs now (if you're lucky enough to be employed) paying barely above minimum wage, people can't afford to buy even cheap products made overseas because they're too busy trying to figure out how they're going to pay ther rent and utlities and feed their families.

Correct.  I'm not happy about it, but don't know what can or should be done to stop this.

The US doesn't need to create new jobs to compete in the global economy. We need to end all free trade agreements and get out of the global economy.

Wow.  So we will buy only from US sources, and neither import, nor export?  The first thing that comes to mind is that we will die without foreign oil.  The second is that snuggling will be very big.  The prices of domestic goods will skyrocket.  I'd expect riots.

Instead of giving tax breaks to corporatons that are outsourcing our jobs and hiring illegal immigrants, we need to be charging them with treason.

Wait a sec.  Outsourcing jobs is an issue.  Hiring illegals is against the law.  But I agree that tax breaks should be ended for corporations - it's not producing desired behaviors.

There's a word for committing acts against ones own country that lead to its destruction. That word is TREASON. Just calling it like I see it.

Oh, God, no.  Treason is supplying an enemy nation with information that weakens the country.  Simply using it to define any act that in your eyes weakens the country is dangerous.  Next thing you know, collarme and porn sites will be outlawed!
