I'm a sub trying to find a dom.

Anal penetration interests me very much, but I don't have much experience there.

I've seen an "anal dilator" kit advertised on the web. It has plugs ranging from 1/4" to 2" in diameter.

Should I buy the kit and use it on myself before my master shows up?

Or, should I wait for him?

Would it be more fun for him to initiate me into this kind of play or for me to prepare my own ass before my dom arrives on the scene? I do sincerly hope he would be more creative in his butt play than this simple kit.

Do what you wish. I cannot imagine any Master caring whether you've prepared yourself. I mean, if he's worried that he'll lose a comparison with a butt plug, he's got serious insecurity issues.

I vote with Steven. It will at least get you some comfort with it so you can worry less and enjoy it more when you find a Dom.

Just because you waited till having a partner to use a toy with, doesn't mean you'll be damaged. I've found that "virgin" buttholes (mine and others) tend to be on the finicky side at first, so there's no harm in exploring your own to see what sensations you enjoy, and get yourself used to the sensations so that for your first experience, you can enjoy it without freaking out if you've never felt what it was like. Buttholes have memories for trauma--one bad experience can really turn you off to future fun.

Here's my suggestions--from one shy "asshole" to another (I say that affectionately....) forget the toys to start off with--use a finger--(if you're squeamish, well.....either don a glove or get over it, because anal sex can get messy....) and remembers these wise tips that were passed on to me by much wiser friends:
1. If it doesn't fit, don't force it
2. Too much lube is almost enough
3. Put condoms on toys (easier to clean, less likely to spread any bugs)

6. Go slow and gradual at first, to allow yourself to get used to the sensations.

Have fun--there are some good books out there on anal sex as well (Anal Pleasure and Health by Jack Morin is a good book for beginners)

What w*ould be better advice, is to not use toys that can get lost up there, and always use a toy with a flared base, and be careful, even with a flared base, since it is possible a toy can snap off the base.

1/4" seems really small. I'd recommend starting with something more along the lines of 3/4" in diameter and you'll need lube.

Solo ass exploration need not be some big (no pun intended) formal affair.
Fingers work just fine for that purpose.
Just be careful as mentioned by ResidentSadist to keep anal play fingers away from your vagina, clit etc.

yes...thanks. That's actually what I meant by using only toys meant for the ass.

I forget sometimes that this isn't common knowledge with everyone. And ResidentSadist's advice is also very important--never go from "back door" to "front door"-- condoms on toys are great for this--just take off the condom after it's been in the butt, and then put a fresh one on. No need to spend time cleaning the toy. You can go from front to back without issue. (that is, YOUR front to YOUR back)

Whether you wait or not is up to you. Who knows if it will be more fun or not? No-one has ever had both experiences. Really, it is up to you.

If you want someone who is more creative in this area then be sure to pick carefully.
