It wouldnt matter if the did past a law, allowing law enforcement to simply look at their leisure of all persons on perscription drugs. First, it would lead to an abuse of the system. Officers look plug in all the known celebrites, politicans, and enemies of theirs, to find out what sort of drugs they are taking. Then, secretly release that information to certain media sources (i.e. tabloids), who then turn those people's lives in to a living hell. Second, its a violation of the 4th Amendment. No law made at a state level, may trump, an Amendment. Allowing officers to see perscription drugs of citizens not involved in a law enforcement investigation, is a violation of privacy. Finally, even if such a law was past, and not in violation of the US Constitution, doctors would simply make modifications to their notes. Since a doctor's medical responsibility, is to their patient, not some police officer with a vendette towards their patient.
