FR I have only heard one minute piece of credible (but not proven) evidence that the moonshot may have been a hoax. Some claim that the flag planted there moved, which is assumed to be impossible without an atmosphere, however........ One, ever hear of a radioscope (IIRC) ? It has a needle bearing and thin leaves which are shiny on one side and black on the other. You shine light at it and it turns. It is of course in a vacuum. With the probable light weight of the fabric of the flag, and the fact that there is only about one sixth of the gravity there, if true, it could have been caused by a solar flare. There is also the possiblility of some minor seismic activity which might have been undetectable to the astronauts in their suits, also owing it's presence to the flag's light weight and low gravity of the moon. In effect, the only piece of evidence of a hoax that I could begin to accept is quite disputable, so my conclusioon is that we did indeed put a Man on the moon. Further, what I've read is that this lunar dust is very fine and highly abrasive. Supposedly it even etches the glass faces of the dials on the instruments outside there. This is no doubt kicked up by movement, as there is obviously no wind. However new materials and or methods will be needed to put a stop to this. That may explain why we haven't gone back, because once you kick up the lunar dust, it wrecks everything. The question becomes, why would they make that up, why would they even mention it ? What's more, perpetrating the hoax would probably cost nearly as much as actually doing it. People with terrestrial telescopes at the time would be able to see something in orbit. Since there was a launch and a space capsule returned, it would have to have been in orbit. Many people in the world (including the Russians) would have undoubtedly exposed it. The only way to cover that up would be to put the vessel in geosynchonous orbit with it remaining directly between the Earth and the sun. This would be a alot higher than the standard 22,000 miles. I'm not even sure they had the ability to do that at the time. I'm not so sure they do now, but I think so. And all photographic evidence to the side. I know a bit about photography and anything, absolutley anything can be faked. What I studied of it wasn't in great depth, but they had quite a bit of ability back then. But now with so many trying to garner distrust in the government (as if they need help LOL), it is more likely that any evidence of a hoax is the actual hoax, but perpetrated now, with more modern technology.
