My point is that when someone does some bone headed thing like burn the Koran they are throwing gas on the fire and our troops pay the price for it. I suppose it is inevitable that there will be retards that will burn books, but the OP acting like it is a big fucking joke when real life casualties may very well result, well... poking at hornet's nests with sticks is stupid. The really stupid thing about burning the Quran is that they claim they're being patriotic by doing so. Patriotic for trying to overturn the Bill of Rights and remove freedom of religion? How is that patriotic?

What other Rights do they want to appeal? Emancipation Proclamation maybe? 1964 Civil Rights Act? Suffrage?

Shit, if they're going that far, why not hand the country back over to the Queen of England and become colonies again?

They've got the right to. Just as Muslims in this country have the right to burn the Torah or the Bible.

Greetings all....

I am not surprised that someone had the guts to do it or that others will follow him. Sorry folks, but if Muslim groups find something so sacred that they will shut off relations with a whole country because of the act of one man, then it must be done. I have never seen a sacred cow that didn't look like holy hamburger to me. If they want to protest the action, let them burn bibles. THAT is an appropriate reaction.

So....sorry folks, Muslims are not so special a religion that nothing can ever be done to upset them. Neither are Jews, Mormons, Catholics, Protestants, Taoists, BaHais, Hindus and every other religion so far not named. No. I reject any group who feels that they are so "special" that no one is allowed to offend them. You may add all the political, economic, sexual and fan boy factions to that group as well.

Today, 9/11, is a day when brave men did something evil in the name of their religion. The fact that it violated stated tenets of that religion does not bother the people who sent them. Those people are out for nothing but their own power and enrichment and are using their religion to try to get it. I find that evil no matter who it is or what religion they hide behind.

Perhaps today should become a day of atonement for all Muslims for what was done in the name of their religion.

Nine years ago today was not a good day for me and mine.
