I guess if the game made more sense to me.... A team of men, facing each other, knowing that the path will be blocked, is sort of like running into a brick wall...to get to the inside of the building. Seems like alot of running into walls to get from side A to side B. It's not as if they can't see the wall, it's staring back at them. Because the wall has ideas of it's own. At least with baseball there seems to be a bit more logical thinking. Hit the ball, run the bases, don't hit the ball, no running. There isn't a line of men padded with 50 lbs of hard plastic waiting to flatten your ass between you and first base. I sit through the season, every year, and listen to the cheers, bring drinks and make snacks. I try to not look like a deer in headlights when plays are explained to me, or when a team member is being shredded for the last move he made...and I count the minutes until I am released from this conversation and can find refuge in the kitchen.
