Just curious, what  are gas prices in your state or country.

Here in Kentucky, I paid 2.94 a gallon yesterday.

It fluctuates, but I'd say $2.95 a gallon seems to be the median price in East Central Indiana & West Central Ohio right now.

I'm in NY, about 30 miles north of New York City, and the low-grade stuff is $3.15 at my corner gas station.

I nearly cried at the gas pump the other day.  Something has got to give!

(and no, I don't drive a gas guzzler.)

In Canada, we measure in litres.  And I don't have a car.  So really, I have no idea.

Filled up just yesterday with the good stuff because it's a high performance engine. I paid $3.12 pg for the privilege. If I had chosen a station slave to fill up for me, it was another 30 cents a gal.

Central Texas; most that I saw were charging around 2.85 to 2.90 a gallon. I don't worry much about gas prices though; I either walk, or ride my bike.

1 gallon = 3.79 liters
we pay 95.9 per litre which is £3.63
Convert that to US dollars and we pay in the UK $6.47 per gallon

...you can still get those?  I thought those had died out long ago.

It's about $3 a gallon where I am, $2.90 if I want the really cheap stuff.

The healthiest I've ever been is when I lived in the UK...had to walk practically everywhere.

That's more than 5 times what I made per hour on my very first job. Damn. I couldn't have afforded to work at those prices! That would call for a lot of walking on my part, which is a great excuse to go out and by new shoes. Ah, a silver lining.

Here by me....$2.89 - $2.99 for regular.....that was yesterday anyway....

Funny that this thread should come up too....cuz I posed an online question to CNN yesterday asking if they could do a report on what it actually costs to produce a gallon of gas. They always tell us when the prices go up and what the average price is....but we never really know how badly we are being raped by the oil companies because nobody ever tells us the cost to produce. It should be like any other market commodity. The cost of raw materials, labor to produce, and add a modest profit. That is where the price should be derived. And another thing I would like to know is.....Who are all these idiots in the stock market  that are willing to keep buying oil at record prices? Don't they realize they are destroying their own economy? The cost of oil drives the cost of most other products, due to transportation costs and other related factors.

Anybody else got thoughts to add?
