Just curious, what  are gas prices in your state or country.

Here in Kentucky, I paid 2.94 a gallon yesterday.

MHOO314 -> RE: Gas Prices (4/23/2006 6:39:16 AM)

wow thought we were high at 2.85 for the cheap stuff in NC.

SpankMuhButt -> RE: Gas Prices (4/23/2006 6:41:31 AM)

I paid $3.10 yesterday...but the gas station at my corner is up too $3.25
I filled my truck up and had alittle more then a 1/4 of a tank cost me $39
it's out of control!
I'm in NY

ScooterTrash -> RE: Gas Prices (4/23/2006 6:48:31 AM)

It fluctuates, but I'd say $2.95 a gallon seems to be the median price in East Central Indiana & West Central Ohio right now.

$2.79 for a gallon of regular in southeast Texas as of yesterday........ of course, it could be anything this morning.

I'm in NY, about 30 miles north of New York City, and the low-grade stuff is $3.15 at my corner gas station.

2.99 for the cheap stuff in Connecticut. That was yesterday though, probably more now.

FootQueen -> RE: Gas Prices (4/23/2006 8:03:28 AM)

On my way out now, will let you know when I get back *giggling* but we were pushing $3.05 day before yesterday.

fastlane -> RE: Gas Prices (4/23/2006 8:15:54 AM)

I nearly cried at the gas pump the other day.  Something has got to give!

(and no, I don't drive a gas guzzler.)

gooddogbenji -> RE: Gas Prices (4/23/2006 9:03:33 AM)

In Canada, we measure in litres.  And I don't have a car.  So really, I have no idea.

down here in houston, texas the gas prices are around $2.84 for regular

(and darnit.. i just sold my ford aspire which got really good gas mileage)

BitaTruble -> RE: Gas Prices (4/23/2006 10:13:41 AM)

Filled up just yesterday with the good stuff because it's a high performance engine. I paid $3.12 pg for the privilege. If I had chosen a station slave to fill up for me, it was another 30 cents a gal.

Central Texas; most that I saw were charging around 2.85 to 2.90 a gallon. I don't worry much about gas prices though; I either walk, or ride my bike.

RichCov -> RE: Gas Prices (4/23/2006 10:24:26 AM)

1 gallon = 3.79 liters
we pay 95.9 per litre which is £3.63
Convert that to US dollars and we pay in the UK $6.47 per gallon

...you can still get those?  I thought those had died out long ago.

It's about $3 a gallon where I am, $2.90 if I want the really cheap stuff.

The healthiest I've ever been is when I lived in the UK...had to walk practically everywhere.

That's more than 5 times what I made per hour on my very first job. Damn. I couldn't have afforded to work at those prices! That would call for a lot of walking on my part, which is a great excuse to go out and by new shoes. Ah, a silver lining.

last time we looked anyway that beeing a few days ago the cheep stuf  was around 2.83  here, shelby county Tn.. but thas only one little area two i know a few pups in differtn parts of town are or have been up to 3 .. suck though it keeps me from asking to go buy crap to make new toys, cost to damn much to drive out to the store.

MasterG2kTR -> RE: Gas Prices (4/23/2006 11:32:12 AM)

Here by me....$2.89 - $2.99 for regular.....that was yesterday anyway....

Funny that this thread should come up too....cuz I posed an online question to CNN yesterday asking if they could do a report on what it actually costs to produce a gallon of gas. They always tell us when the prices go up and what the average price is....but we never really know how badly we are being raped by the oil companies because nobody ever tells us the cost to produce. It should be like any other market commodity. The cost of raw materials, labor to produce, and add a modest profit. That is where the price should be derived. And another thing I would like to know is.....Who are all these idiots in the stock market  that are willing to keep buying oil at record prices? Don't they realize they are destroying their own economy? The cost of oil drives the cost of most other products, due to transportation costs and other related factors.

Anybody else got thoughts to add?
