Today was $3.13 in LA County and $3.05 in Orange County [:@]. Two U-haul vehicles guzzled up $116.00 at the pumps alone this weekend during my move.

i found it for about 3.19 in fresno county, lowest i found was 2.99 on saturday, adn that was on the border of the county.

girl was on the bus today and almost choked when she saw the prices here..... $109.5 and 110.5 up good thing she don't drive right now or she'd be telling work to pay her gas bill.

Although the oil companies are making money hand over fist, I honestly think they're getting worried by all the reports suggesting that American consumers are cutting back (or starting to, at any rate). Short-term windfalls are nice, but when people start to change their daily habits in response to high gasoline prices, those can take a big long-term chunk out of Exxon's profits. Changes like carpooling, taking the train, moving to a different location with more public transportation, and so on--those tend to be changes with lasting consequences.
