Toppingfrmbottom -> Ok, how can panties fit perfectly every where except the legs? (9/15/2010 2:15:49 AM)

In the legs, they're huge, there's at least a whole nother size amount of fabric in the legs, and I wore them an tried to ignore how big and baggy the leg region was, but it annoys me to have the feel of them so baggy.

I am hoping they will shrink down some when I wash them, though probably not since we have no hot water, just cold.

Why would they fit everywhere but the legs and sides?

I dont have QUITE that problem, but I do agree,, panty fit is a problem.. as are bras

GT In store buying panties I never had a problem, but I hear a lot in reviews that the redcats company sells items that are odd size, or not true to size, or that it fits everywhere but one area.

I only bought them on a whim, an I didn't read all the reviews on the website.

and why arent they all sized teh same?? I dont care if it's victorias secret, hanes, fruit of the loom, or gilligan and o'malley. the same size designation bears no relation among them

Looking at your pics it might because you are Obese.
I say that with a clinical detachment that you are way over your BMI.
You are Obese and this isn't a manufactured slur to hurt your feelings.
It's pure fact and mass produced panties will not fit you correctly because of it.

twistedwillow -> RE: Ok, how can panties fit perfectly every where except the legs? (9/15/2010 6:02:21 AM)

Hi Topping,
though not quite tactfully said BentUnit has a point.
Do you have quite 'skinny' thighs considering your size?
Both my mother and my sister have this problem they are very big in the body with little stick legs under them, and as a result because *most* people who are big, also have big thighs to go with it ( myself for example) panties are made to fit a larger belly, and an assumed larger thigh.
the plus size body

I believe this would be your shape
The Oval
The Oval figure is very similar to the Diamond, and both are often classified as the “Apple” body shape as the overall appearance is round. However, Oval figures usually have bigger busts as well as midriffs. The weight is concentrated on the entire upper torso. Oval bodies are usually larger around the lower stomach while diamond shapes have more weight around the upper region.

The Plus – Thin arms and legs, and hips that are not so heavy either

Sweet mother of god!
I couched it as tactfully as I was able while still being truthful without using the easy path of using the "F" word.

lol sorry Bent, I wasn't having a go at you...
and to be honest I am chuckling over this reply of yours[:D]

If that is your "problem", my ex mother-in-law, who had that issue, simply bought new elastic, removed the old and added elastic that fit her more appropriately.

Sharkey!!!!! (I miss you but that's another story) I don't have that problem either because I don't like them or ony wear them only when completely necessary, but mostly you won't have that problem with thongs, I know - I know, not for everyone, or if you get the thigh highs, maybe they won't be as loose on your legs. Just a thought [;)]

Edited: Oh darling Bennnnnnt, sometimes the F word just fucking fits!

twistedwillow -> RE: Ok, how can panties fit perfectly every where except the legs? (9/15/2010 6:53:09 AM)

Tropical, that is a good suggestion for Topping.

For the others, the 'F' word is FAT ... fat fat fat fat fat fat ... it's not a bad word, you CAN use it it ya know.

Toppingfrmbottom -> RE: Ok, how can panties fit perfectly every where except the legs? (9/15/2010 10:46:28 AM)

Raally? Cause I can go into Catherines, buy  a size 15 panty, and it fits beautifully.

Maybe these panties were cheap?

Maybe they have some kind of odd quality about them that does this?

This is the first time I have bought panties online. I am normally an  anti buy clothing online girl.

TW, No, I don't think I have skinny thighs. They're maybe not as large as someone who's my size could be, but I've never thought of them as skinny hehehe.

I'd say I have large breasts, and a big  apron of fat that hangs down, and wide hips, but when I am dressed in something that fits well and is flattering, a lot of people would say, really you weight 330 pounds? I would of never guessed, you look much smaller than 330.

Aside from a bit of a double chin, a bit of a flabby arm,  and a round face, which I think I have always had if pictures from skinny years is any indication I don't carry a lot of weight, I don't think.

Oh I love undies, they're quite a versitial thing, and I love the cute little prints an what not, an even plain "granny pannies" I can spruce up an put my personal touch on.

They're plain cotton with non disguised elastic, and they're pastels like pale blue, and pale pink an stuff  and I could put my own personal spin on them, with fabric paints and what not.

Now bra's, I'd say thems evil, because no matter what the quality, or the size I have always hated them fuckers, and can only stand to wear one for an hour or two before I am literally desperate to get it off me.

TW I laughed in real life at this post.

It's wonderful that every one has tried to be tactful about the weight thing, it's very refreshing compared to how nasty comments about weight usually get, but yeah I just call myself fat. Or sometimes obese. Or sometimes large.

I have never seen or felt the need to tiptoe around the fact I am a fat woman.

330 pounds is more weight than ANYONE should carry, TPFB. I'm toting around extra weight myself, I'm not anti fat, but we are both not in the healthy range.

Underwear is just ODD. The "American" body type is based on the northern European type of thin legs and hips, and round tummy, the "apple". It's maddening for the Mediterranean hourglass types!! I get lots of underwear on sale at those outlet places, once I hit total paydirt at a place that was closing and got fifty pairs for CHEAP. Naturally the faves were discontinued styles.

My faves at the moment are Barely There brand, with not-tight elastic, so they don't dig in at all. They have high cut legs, so they don't bug me. I also have some Jockey brand shiny pink stretchy nylon ones that I love! Which makes me laugh since I have one pair of REALLY pricey control top French panties that I got on the clearance at Neiman Marcus and they KILL!! There is this total ride-up spot on the front of the thigh once you start walking!

Jeans, dress pants, bras, unnerpance. HARUMPH. It's all an evil plot of evil.

purepleasure -> RE: Ok, how can panties fit perfectly every where except the legs? (9/15/2010 11:06:46 AM)

TfB, if you found a place to find panties that provide a comfortable fit, stick with that place.

I swear by Just my Size.  The only time they get uncomfortable is when the elastic does finally wear out, but I would guess that is with any size of panties.

Toppingfrmbottom -> RE: Ok, how can panties fit perfectly every where except the legs? (9/15/2010 11:14:07 AM)

It fluctuates, Sometimes I am 316 and sometimes I am 330. I used to be 295. neither are exactly healthy I know.

However, I'm ok with being where I am at now, kinda. I wouldn't care to get any bigger, because for a long time I told Daddy if I get to 330 again, just secure me to a tread mill and  don't let me off till I loose the weight:P
I think it's better for me emotionally not to obsess about how horrible the numbers on the scale are, Keep an eye on them, try not to let them go higher? Yes. Worry myself sick* which is what I USED to do an it drove me to tears* no.

We'll  try to walk, and try to eat right and, Perhaps I am naive for thinking so, but if we manage to do that, the weight will come off with out worrying over it.

If I am eating right and exercising enough an the weights not coming off, then I will worry.

I am also thinking of going the rout of a personal trainer at the gym, cause they'll monitor your diet, and your exercise, and make custom plans for you, I'd probably just get bored an lazy an refuse to go, like I have with gym plans in the past though.[:@][:'(][sm=dunno.gif]

and I can't get any programs here in town that will give you a dietitian and nutritionist and sit down face to face and manage an make diet plans for you.

If you were full blown diabetic Kiaser has diatitians and nutritionists they would send you to see , but for weight loss alone? Nope.

Which is stupid if you ask me, because weight related illnesses an shit would be far costlier to fix an deal with than the prevention of providing a dietitian to work in close proximity with the patient.

Catherines had some nice panties for a long long time, an then last time I went in, and bought some they had horribly cheap crappy panties, and I hope it's not a all the time thing, I hope they're gonna go back to their durable good panties.

I'd hate if the change was permanent.

KyttynTheMynx -> RE: Ok, how can panties fit perfectly every where except the legs? (9/15/2010 11:14:40 AM)

Sweet baby Jehosephat. You are always complaining about clothing not fitting right. Did you ever stop to think that its not always the clothing, it just may be your body? If you stick to stores you know, you can kinda eyeball everything because you know the makers of the clothing and how it normally hangs. Going for a new store, you open yourself to not knowing how it fits. Even worse with panties because then you end up with product too big or too small. Try stuff on before you leave, or make sure you know the return policy (online and local stores). If you dont think the item will fit, or if you are skeptical, dont buy it. Flat out. Leave it there.
