I called my dr and had a phone appointment, she said I have non of the symptoms she'd say qualifies as poor circulation, she says I am just one of these people who runs cold in their extremities, she herself is like that.

As for socks: these should work well: http://www.bigmen.com/socks/index.html
They come in larger sizes.

One word,  SLIPPERS.

Anyway we have a neighbor who put in a heated driveway.  Same deal...2 car typical driveway cost him 80,000.

Adding heated flooring isn't to difficult but a bit pricey.

In an addition room I put in laminated wood flooring over the concrete and linoleum that was originally there. I purchased heat traced padding for beneath the laminated wood flooring and installed the thermostat on the wall. I now have radiant heat flooring. This was much cheaper than doing the concrete embedded radiant heat.

i am sure someone said it but just in case -  throw a heating pad or two on the floor and put your feet on top of it.  You can regulate how hot it is and many nowadays have an automatic off switch which means you won't start a fire if you forget about it being on.

Also if you are pre-diabetic one of the symptoms from what i understand is that your feet or legs get achingly cold at times and it does have to do with circulation.  I also wouldn't dismiss the lose weight comments so easily as your symptoms could very well be from an effect the extra weight is having on your body -- such as pre-diabetes has its own issues and losing weight could very well help the condition which would they help the symptoms you are having.  Also, if your feet are really that cold and its a newly acquired concept -- i.e., the aching cold, i would maybe asked to be checked to see if you have traveled over into being a diabetic instead of pre-diabetes.

I personally can't stand shoes or sock, so slippers and/or socks wouldn't be a solution for me either, but then again, i sit cross legged most of the time lol so my feet aren't on the floor.  Also, if you are sitting at like a desk the enclosed space probably hold cold that is coming up from the floor, so putting a heating blanket or such under the desk may help warm the whole under desk area.

You obviously didn't read where I said socks do no good, they either irritate my feet, cause huge painful dig grooves so I have to take them off , or,  my feet are still bloody cold and I am wearing the socks, and sometimes slippers, and my feet are STILL cold WITH THE SOCKS ON.

Socks don't do jack diddly shit for my cold feet, only heat does.

Get socks...just get socks......

My condo flooring is over a slab, and when it gets below 20 outside the floor is damn chilly, and the circulation in my feet is not too good due to Reynaud's disease.  Socks aren't good enough, and sheepskin's a bit to warm.  I wear fleece slippers that have a rubber sole.  The sole's a great insulator and el perfector for comfy feet.

if you cut the tops of the socks off, they're not going to stay on, cause the tops of the sock is what keeps the socks on.

I just had my sugars and stuff checked recently cause I was concerned,, and she said everything's fine, there's no signs of high blood sugar or problems with it.

So for the mean time what ever we're doing is working, I have been told drinking lots of water pushes the levels down and so maybe that's it, cause I drink about 4 16 ounce bottles a day.

If my feet are really cold and hurting me, every now and then Daddy is kind enough to let me put them against his butt, an warm them up. He usually runs warm.

We had an electric blankie for our bed, but it quit warming the bed up shortly after buying it so I am thinking another one will be in order this winter, since it's very cold and bitter in here in the winter, and we can't keep the heater on all night while we're asleep it's a fire risk I aint willing to take.

Ah yes the flokati rugs, my mother had one also. But not as warm as merino. However the sheepskins are slippery, we had to take my Dad's away for fear it would move and he would fall. But if it's under the desk that won't be a problem.

Have you looked at the Ugg boots and slippers? Or the knock offs? But yes, you can't let the feet get cold because then they don't warm back up. You have to prevent them from getting cold.

Another thing that will help your poor circulation is activity. Don't allow yourself to sit for long periods of time. Get up and move. A short, but brisk walk, will help your circulation. Which will in turn, help keep your hands and feet warm.

I am nearly always hot, but if I am sitting on my bum for too long here at work or watching a movie, my hands and feet can get cold. I just get up and get busy for a bit....warms things right up!

Designed for cars but should work, http://www.shaktiwintercare.com/product.php?pid=22
You can search the famous footwear or payless sites for Ugg style boots.

And you would heat your driveway so you didn't have to shovel snow.

Not at all.  Here it snows.  There is ice on the roads for 6 month's at a time.  So, if you want to park in your driveway you either hang out in sometimes -25 degree wind chill chipping the ice off like I do.  Or you install a heated driveway to melt the ice off for you.

Personally I find working in the cold refreshing so I can't see putting 400,000 into my driveway.  Mine is quite a bit larger than a 2 car driveway.

I would however like to find a decent looking pair of slippers so I could go outside with the dogs and not have to put my boots on when there is snow and ice on the ground.

sub4hire, I was going to say either that or it snows an the heated drive ways are a way to cut down labor.
