Ok.. well let's see if I can find an 'Oh Shit' moment that doesn't involve a picture that requires dissection or concerns about (?) serious spider abuse..  (Srsly? 1. I'm pretty sure the shoes are just for show, and 2. a joke. No one would really wear shoes with insects in them, except possibly for Lady Gaga, who also wears raw meat..)
How about this? I'm driving home late at night on an icy road (the ice was still falling in little chunks from the sky at this point, and there is old snow piled everywhere) in an '87 Crown Vic. It's Valentine's Day '00, and my (former) wedding anniversary. I am sober, wearing my seat belt, and driving with wide-eyed white-knuckled care. Coming around a graded curve on a two-lane road with no shoulder, I hit a patch of black ice and start to slide. I am not going very fast at all but I have no traction, none, zero, zip (remember, this is a curve, on a narrow road, on ice, with a downhill grade, and I am listing sideways of the road at this point). Ahead of me, right in my path, on this same curve on the other side of the road, to my horror, I see: a car broke down, a cop having stopped to help, and both drivers standing outside their vehicles. I try my horn but realize that something is wrong with it; there is no sound. I am trying to steer out of the slide to no avail whatsoever, and I am still heading right for them; they do not see me until the very last second, whence the officer hurls himself bodily up onto yonder snowbank to avoid being hit and tumbles back down onto the hood of my car (:::THUNK!!, crumple:::). At the same moment I am acquiring this interesting new hood ornament, I am also crunching into the front end of the squad car, shoving it into the unfortunate breakdown behind it. This is thrice as unfortunate, because the driver of the breakdown is standing just in between the cars at the time. He survives, but both of his legs are badly broken. I am white-faced, ill with fear, and utterly flabbergasted. The officer rules that the accident was the fault of the ice on the road and not me, because we were having an ice storm at the time and I was doing everything right (all my papers in order, wearing seat belt, driving under the speed limit, trying to be careful and just trying to get home - the punch line is that I was less than 2 miles from the house when this happened.  *sigh*).
How's THAT?
