So,

After his references to Wiki as unprofessional and his thoughts on Wiki in no way being a credible source, why would Rush suddenly decide quoting Wiki was a good thing?

Sadly not a word of it was true.  Someone logged into Wiki and made it all up.  One would think since Rush had his own death inserted into Wiki he knows better.

It appears neither Rush or his well trained staff noticed the date listed for the newspaper article referenced as the source, June 31, 2003.  I guess in 2003 on the right wing calendar June actually had 31 days. 

Are Rush and his staff to dumb to pick up the phone and actually check a fact or just lazy?  Why do so many of the right wing talkers seem to have issues with simple task such as fact checking?

To be fair, I do not think fact checking was ever a high priority for Mr Limbaugh or his staff.... you have listened to his lies and misrepresentations over the years, right?

before the last election over here, somebody was replacing the bios for BNP candidates with cut and pasted entries for gay porno actors. Childish, but very funny...

Rush is a viewpoint.  Facts optional.  As long as his listeners don't hold him to a standard of truth, he won't care.

Just think of him as an entertainer.

Umm, Steven, he is just an entertainer. Now I personally have never found him entertaining, but I do enjoy watching the ones on the left foam at the mouth every time he speaks.

I understand perfectly.  Rush is about making Rush money.  If the facts get in the way they're not needed.

My problem is that this sloppy fact checking and in some cases just making up what you wish  happens over and over with many of the right wing "entertainers".  The problem being that their audiences take everything they say as gospel. Then they run around spreading the misinformation and using it to base their choices on.

Well, an important democrat Politician once refered to there being 57 states.

I mean what could be stupider than that. Not noticing 31 days in June, compared to 57 states.

I do not know the context under which that was said, and I could see the analogy working if you were posting about it on a Bushism thread... but comparing someone misspeaking to doing lousy research is not really a good analogy. It might be if the politician read that there were 57 states on wikipedia and parroted that, then it would be relevant

Well since eventually Puerto Rico will make 51 and Iraq an Afghanistan are virtually 52 and 53 we're almost there.

I am sure on the map Dick left at the White House Iran and North Korea make up 54 and 55.  Since everyone said Blair was a bitch of Bush we can assume the British make number 56.

Want to guess what might be number 57?  I am sure Obama had just looked at Dick's old map and was confused for awhile.

Now what does any of this have to do with the talking heads on the right refusing to check any facts?

I think it is very telling that so much of the "democrat Response" is to act stupid and make up stuff.

Jon Stewart is the main source of "ideas" for the left. They all seem to wish they were Jon Stewart

Sarcasm is about the only tool they have.

Yes insults, the realm of those who actually have no answer for anything.

We have hours of the stupid things Bush said so forgive me for groaning a little, rolling my eyes and moving on from the Obama stumble.

Now what has any of this have to do with the "entertainers" on the right and the inability to check facts or just plain make things up.
