TOS and TNG and Voyager. Never really got into DS9.

What do Capt Kathryn Janeway and  Flemeth, ( A character in Dragon Age Origins) have in common?

Ok, do I qualify as geek?

SebastianK -> RE: Geek as a lifestyle. (9/20/2010 4:21:51 PM)

On 3rd thought I realise I should've answered Babylon 5 to that question... (the ST one, if any doubt). Seeing as what I like about DS9 is done that much better in B5 ;-) Also, I rather enjoy TNG as well.

Not Bi-Sexual.  But I do practice safe hex.

But are you Poly (nomial)? Or into (Pytha)Gorean lifestyle?

Just getting back to down to the Basics here...

Oh gawd. someone stop me before I seal my fate as single for the rest of my life.

This is easily answered: TOS or TNG?

There are many correct answers, but if you need to Google them...
...then, no, you aren't a geek.

My answer to that question?  My answer is, "Star Wars."

If you understood this post without Google, then congratulations!  You are a geek!

Yes, I grokked it all!

Geek here.

OK, if loving filk songs makes me a geek, I confess. If this is true, I am no longer just an auxiliary member, I've moved to full geekdom.

Malkinius, that was brilliant. Thank you for posting, and that new subscription notice is from me. I hope you don't mind.

MistressRosalyn -> RE: Geek as a lifestyle. (9/20/2010 11:47:30 PM)

Oh, and I never answered the question: TOS and TNG, AND Star Wars.

You are a geek if you lined up multiple times and waited for hours just to get TICKETS to watch it at the only place in town showing it.

Arrrrrrr, avast, ya scurvy swabs!!

Pirate talk is way too cool to only say once a year!

DS9 fan here.  Plus B5 and its spinoffs.

Geeks love porn...no?

LadyRian -> RE: Geek as a lifestyle. (9/21/2010 7:24:56 PM)

Well, speaking for myself only....... it has to be good porn! Life's too short to view bad porn.

Both. Yes, TOS was cheesy at some points but there were some truly well written episodes that were way ahead of their time.  Also, DS9 until the last seasons. I couldn't ever get into Voyager for some reason, and I'm one of those freaks who actually didn't mind Enterprise. What? I liked the insight into Vulcan culture, and the alternate history episodes were just fun, damn it.

Let me ask my own geek question...

Are you a Browncoat?

DS9. Continuity. Quark. Character development. Iggy Pop as a Vorta, Yelgrun. Nog. Chase Masterson - what a bod. No ham "acting" by Shatner.
(did anyone besides me think it weird that Nimoy "screamed" his dialogue in the first few episodes?)

poise -> RE: Geek as a lifestyle. (9/25/2010 7:43:25 AM)

Even anteaters give in to their geekiness.
