fast reply

The last thread I made on this topic went bye-bye because someone who cannot be named started a shit storm on it and intentionally derailed it...

I think this is an important topic and that is why I made another thread about it

Hey Julia, maybe we should call him "Mr Potato-Head", since the poster in question is from Idaho, you know.

Sarcastically,

Can't we just sit back and enjoy the silence(temporary though it may be)?

If the person who must remain nameless would truly be Mr Potato Head I would vote we stone the first person to add a mouth to allow speech or hands to let the potato type.

Julia,

I've provided you with the name Keli Carender as a Tea Party instigator/ creater/ starter before but you insist on revisionist bullshit giving that credit to Dick Armey because it makes for good leftist revisionist history and most people are too lazy to do the reading to figure it out.

KELI CARENDER started the Tea Party Protests

Dick Armey came along MONTHS LATER trying to wrangle them back into the republican fold.

http://michellemalkin.com/2009/04/15/a-tax-day-tea-party-cheat-sheet-how-it-all-started/

three cites from both sides confirming my information that Keli Carender started the movement.

juliaoceania -> RE: Tea Party Radicals - Astro Turf Manipulation (9/23/2010 11:56:32 AM)

So you would say that the Tea Party hasn't been co-opted by republicans? It is still a grass roots movement?

Why are Tea Party people running as republicans if that is not true? Why are culture warriors like Christine O'Donnell getting support from the Tea Party

I hate to break it to you, but the Tea Party has been largely funded and sponsored by far right wing radical culture warriors and republican party advocates, and this is the reason for their success....

Now you can say that isn't true, but the fact that Angle and O'Donnell are running on culture issues and not purely economic ones says something about the Tea Party, and the future of the republican party. which may become the Republican Tea Party
