It shows the hypocrisy of the business agent of that local of that union.

I'll remind you of this comment, the next time a Republican does something stupid/illegal/immoral, and you claim all Republicans are stupid/criminal/immoral.

I do that in response to shit like this firm....evertime, all you bathroom cocksuckers...

see?  did it again, just now.

It is common for the 'reasoned' right out here to come up with here is a single example so this proves that all the hyperbole that I am blathering on about is true.

I fuckin' dare ya, Firm, it should be easy to go find Minneapolis Airport Bathroom and all republicans are cocksuckers, which I have said repeatedly, and go find within a post or two of that that nobody did a joe the plumber bunch of asswipe, where someone from the left (or cock in cheek, right) shoveled a driveway and therefore the titanic was sunk kind of horseshit occurred, or there is no damage in the gulf post.

I will kiss your ass on main street and give you an hour to draw a crowd if that is not the spirit it was said in.

But you lose, so take off your pants.

I've not spent more than a couple hundred dollars in the past 10 years or more at Wall Mart and Gift Cards represent likely 40% of that.

Between the service levels and the Eminent Domain practices I simply can't support them. Do Target and K Mart do the same, I'm sure they do but the majority of the worst offenders stories are from Walmart.

As for raising children and such on minimum wages, Nobody should expect that a minimum wage job will support a family of four, it eludes common sense.
I know things happen and I know sometimes you do what you have to do.

Using fast reply.

What I find interesting is that, around the Mt Pleasant Iowa area, a job with the Walmart warehouse is considered a good job. It pays well. They offer good benefits. It is dependable. It is considerably more dependable than most of the local manufacturers around. One of which I know is a union facility.

Which COSTCO is that???

Do you really think that there are COSTCO employees NOT working for mim. wage... is that what allows you to shop their???

Former UFCW worker here!

Costco workers do not make 15 an hour unless they are line lead types, but they do start at roughly 10-12 an hour.

Ron, if I could understand what you said without a translator, I might just take off my pants on main street!

I think I get the gist, but my head aches from all the "I think he means" that I hafta put into my thinking processes to get some clarity.

lol...Nope.... very real.

I wonder if julia will come here to explain astro turfing???

I have said it 1000's of times, those who boycott Wal Mart, can afford to boycott Wal Mart.

I went yestersay and bought Hines ketchup, Russle Stover sugar free mint patties, Listerene, paper towels, foam plates, a pack of socks and some t-shirts....and all of it made in America.... and no doubt made by Union workers.

I curious why does Kmart and Target gets a pass but hey... go figure the left

A quick google showed me a NLRB suit against Russel Stover from 1997. That was it for Unions.

Why do you hate folks making a living wage?

I dunno... why do you support policies that have the unemployment rate for Black Americans under the age of 25 over 20%?

I also personally know several people who have or are working for the local CostCo and all of them started out higher than minimum wage so the $10 - $10.50 per hour sounds right.

From the Costco Webpage

"High wages
- Starting wages $10.00 to $10.50
- Scheduled pay raises up to $16.17
Flexible scheduling
Part-time and full-time hours"

http://company.monster.com/costco/CorporateWarehouse.htm

And of course all the ads on Monster are real jobs. Hey, I've got a bridge I want you to buy .....mind forwarding me a check in advance? LOL

It's also possible that you paid higher prices than a Kroger.  They have cut-rate prices in a few categories, and higher prices in many other products.

Why would you assume they are made by union workers?  Unionized workers are about 15% of the population, and that includes government, firefighters, etc.

I find it weird that Walmart states that unlike many of its competitors, it offers health insurance to part-time employees.  So does Target.  Neither company tells about deductibles, cost, qualifying time, etc.

They have a small fraction of the turnover of a Sam's World, and their wages are a big part of it.  Reports also say the work environment's better.

C'mon folks.  Even people that shop a lot at Walmart bitch about the incompetent, surly (as noted), slow help and not enough checkout lines at any time.  Do you suppose this has anything to do with shit wages?  IIRC the store manager has part of his pay determined by his store's profit.  There's no incentive to improve service.  Store managers aren't graded on customer service.

What you don't realize is FDD is a proud Wal-Mart associate.

Having worked for an american manufacturer that did business with wal-mart, I can tell you, this shit is spot on.  They made us pay for their systems, their price decreases, and when they didnt sell our product they shipped it back in fucked up and sorry shape and expected refund (and a whole lot of other shitty stuff).........you overall aint cutting no fat hog in the ass with wal-mart its like milking cows, just cash flow. no real profit.
