From CNN...

The actual document.

If they get elected, they'll do whats on the document. Funny how they dont pledge what they'll do, if they dont win either the House or the Senate....

Where is it limited to winning? Its a platform of principles and shouldnt be related to winning at all.

No it shouldn't and yet.....

"An unchecked executive, a compliant legislature, and an overreaching judiciary have combined to thwart the will of the people and overturn their votes and their values, striking down long-standing laws and institutions and scorning the deepest beliefs of the American people."

"An arrogant and out-of-touch government of self-appointed elites makes decisions, issues mandates, and enacts laws without accepting or requesting the input of the many."

That sounds very much like the last administration.

This pledge is ALMOST as silly as the new Democrat logo.

Haven't we been here once already?  Why wouldn't we want to do it again.  The Contract with America accomplished..............

Oh wait my bad.  By the time things were over it really didn't accomplish squat.

My eyes rolled when I read through that part. So far, it hasn't gotten any better in the document. It reads so far as 'pro George W. Bush'. They want to return spending....

"With common-sense exceptions for seniors, veterans, and our troops, we will roll back government spending to pre-stimulus, pre-bailout levels..."

Yes, because pre-ARRA of 2009 & pre-bailout levels, was sort of the reasoning thatgot us in to the economic mess. You would think they would have learned that. 'Common Sense' would not be the concept I would accuse the Republican Party of having.

"It is time to end this liberal Keynesian experiment and stop the attacks on our employers that prevent them from investing in our economy."

So, its 'ok' for the GOP to insult my President, embarrass my country, and give me MORE reason to vote Democrat in November. Nothing is stopping anyone from investing in the economy; what the hell sort of drugs are the GOP on these days?

"The trillion-dollar “stimulus” spending bill..."

$787 Billion (ARRA of 2009), is a Trillion dollars? Maybe this is the reason we got in to so much trouble with Republicans a few years ago. Not knowing the different between $787 Billion, and $1000 Billion.

Joether, you're voting "Democrat" in November? Look at the bright side, it'll be a short line. "Ok, all you Democrats step this way, ...Both of you."

So you would rather vote for Republicans who don't know the difference between 787 Billion and 1 Trillion?

He is a disappointment indeed. He is not nearly as embarrassing as the previous President.

H&HS serves the entire country...which population do you think is bigger? Active/reserve/retired military or all remaining retired folks?

Do these folks mention that "life liberty and the pursuit of happiness" comes from the Declaration of Independence, and not the Constitution?  And since they are strict constructionists, they have no obligation to protect a "right to life, liberty, etc." for anyone else?

I'm only a few pages in but see some bogosity going down already, especially conflating Republican tax cuts in the '90s with the expiration of Bush 43 tax cuts that are about to expire.

I dunno, he spoke to one of those racist Hispanic groups and told them "Mexicans were here before Americans."
America -1776- -Mexico -1821-
Was he talking about indians? He should have said, you need to get your illegal aliens packed and ready to return home to their own countries."
At what point do we start "considering" impeachment?
This guy is obviously not on " America's side" when he starts talking *shit* like that!
Please, no more "Brilliant Legal Scholors" in Washington thankyou very much!

When someone does something so wrong, that they should be impeached?

Yes, Clinton was impeached for lying to Congress, about getting a blowjob from an intern. The act of getting a blowjob had NOTHING to do with his job as a President. But he was impeached by the Republican Congress for doing so...

G.W.Bush was not impeached for lying to Congress about getting the USA in to Iraq. The Republican Congress apparently thought, it was 'ok' for a President to lie about the reasons for going to war. Not only that, but being fairly foolish with the manner the war was handled. Yes, Mr. Bush was not impeached for not finding the WMDs he and his staff said, existed in Iraq. So, a Republican Congress, does not exactly, have the credibility to talk about impeachments.

Clinton was impeached for lying to a Federal Grand Jury, not Congress.
