What befuddles my imagination is how anyone can even mention racism at all when it comes to ideology in the 21st century. I haven't seen a Black Panther or a Klan member in decades now. It would seem to me the real issues at hand are how much we want to suckle a government tit, or how much we wish to rely on ourselves and the free market to determine our personal pursuit of happiness. I think it only shows a weak stance when anyone, from either side of the aisle or out in the grassroots of a pasture has to drag in a race card or ask a certain ethnic group for support at the polls. If your ideas can't bear the weight or reality and good common sense, you have no business playing in politics at all. I didn't like Bush because his policies eroded our rights to privacy and he spent money like a spoiled rich kid with his Daddy's credit card. I don't like Obama for exactly the same reasons. There is no consideration for color or even political party in the equation, it all comes down to ideas, and even further to how effectively the ideas can be implemented and actually produce the promised results in the real world without massive media and market manipulation to create lots of smoke and mirrors. At this point in our country, we have no question got to get a firm grip on the fiscal realities or being massively in debt with fiat currency to the degree that our GDP can't even pay to the service the debt payments. What this means is we need to stop spending money. Greenspan was the first idiot to propose the idea that debt equals wealth. That makes about as much sense as abstinence creates children. Even with arbitrage, you can only leverage so far before the house of cards comes crashing down, and that is exactly what we are seeing now. So show me any politician that can start cutting programs, downsize our involvement in military action around the globe, rid ourselves of airport nude scanners and the patriot act, kill NAFTA and TAFTA, and start balancing the budget, not by a sliding rule and bait and switch games, but on a real cash flow statement and balance sheet...and white/black/red/yellow, gay or straight, Christian, Muslim, Jew, Atheist, Wiccan, Hindu, Liberal, Conservative, Dem or Rep, I'll vote for them.
