Surround sound stereo with any TV comedy series DVD (with a laugh track) to muffle the sounds.  Also, a ball gag makes the drool fly when she's laughing, and that can be hawt, too.

Neighbors are not the problem at all. Lots of private wooded property between us and the neighbor. Just trying to muffle as best as possible so that the kids in their rooms cannot hear us on nights we have the crave to play when they are over.

I'm with Focus on this one.  You're not going to find anything that is going to eliminate the noise emitted completely just from a gag.

If noise is a big problem (thin walls, close neighbors, etc) I'd probably look more at doing some minimal soundproofing of your play room.  Yes, more expensive than a gag, but absolutely more effective for certain situations.

Thank you all for your great suggestions. May try a combo of a few or couple. Have yet to try the bondage tape and perhaps a sponge not stuffed IN the mouth but outside the mouth and kept in place by the bondage tape or ace bandage.
The mask sounds like an idea too with perhaps an addition of one of the other suggestions.
Safety is key I agree and I definitely wish to avoid stuffing anything IN the mouth. We just want to muffle not silence completely really so that the kiddies cannot hear us.
LOL on the pillow over the face till the victim stops moving...but unfortunately that is a one time play option and we are trying to avoid having to find a place to hide the bodies!

I've been gagging women for over 40 years, and I have yet to find a safe way to do what you want to do. Tickling causes serious struggling and ups the ante, so to speak, both gag-wise and safety-wise. Mouthstuffing with very tight tape works to a point, but that mouth really has to be stuffed and it simply isn't safe - especially when tickling is involved.  Handgagging works better than a lot of other gags as far as muffling but if someone's being tickled they will definitely thrash around and you'd hurt them if you held their face too tightly so, again, not safe(not to mention you only have one hand free for tickling.

Like many, I love the muffled sounds a bottom makes while gagged, so have never been concerned with "completely" silencing her, even  during a kidnapping scene.

Whatever you do, just be mindful that gags can be dangerous when tickling is involved,  and be careful..........

I totally agree with what you said. Not looking for total silence really, just enough that the next room in our house cannot hear. The TV helps too. My idea which has yet to be tried, have to find the right stuff, is to take a large sponge, place it over the mouth, then take ace bandage and wrap it many time around. (the nose is not covered at all obviously). I am THINKING that will work nicely.

The only thing I've found that effectively silences the vocal chords is to intubate the patient and put them on a ventilator. This does not seem to carry over well to BDSM. I would try moving to a remote location in the forest and closing the windows.

If you don't want your kids to hear you play, do it when they are not home.

Great forum. One of the best I've encountered. Finding the right gag for my subs has always been a challenge. Since most of my scenes have been in motel/hotel rooms, good effective gags are a neccessity. (Once I had the people next door banging on the walls, either the gag was not well-placed or maybe it was something else)
