I've read most everything that everyone here has mentioned.  I'll also give a suggestion if anyone is interested.....  The Compleat (yes, spelled just like that) Slave.  Adds a lot of perspective to slavery if one has a mind.

No, I haven't read any non-fiction BDSM books.  The best relationship book I've ever read was "The Seven Principles to Making Marriage Work" by John Gottman.  The relationship skills are amazing and would apply to any type of relationship.

Now that I have a pretty good idea of myself, communicate well, and process emotions well, I don't feel the need to read relationship books.  Same with my owner.  Things are working great for us, so no need.

I've read Screw the Roses... and Different Loving. I found both of them to be unrealistic in that both of them presented D/s to me as roles to be played, not relationships to be entered. For example, the insistence on a "safe word" always seemed ridiculous to me unless you were into casual play, which I am not. I believe relationships involve two people, not two roles.

But I love this question because I love to read!

No.......although I am an avid reader, I have no desire to read about BDSM or BDSM related stories.
I like John Grisham, Jeffrey Archer, Stephen King and many other authors, BDSM related novels do nothing for me.

I read Different Loving. I found the subtitle to be quite misleading, as there was so much in the book about psychology, relationships, control dynamics, and the like, but I'm pretty certain they had a good reason for choosing it at the time.
