Hello!

I am new to this site and hopefully soon will actually be new to the, I don’t know, lifestyle? I am 28 years old and have always been attracted to dominant women; unfortunately I have not yet really had a chance to explore that part of my sexuality….is that the right word? Sure.

What is there to say here? I am in Los Angeles, I work constantly, when I am not working I go to movies, museums, art galleries…basically I am saying I’m cultured like yogurt.

Hmmmm…I am hoping to meet like minded people on this site, maybe find out where all the women I fantasize about congregate in the real world. So far, no good, the only message exchange I have had pretty much told me not to expect anything because guys have it pretty rough here due to them not being in high demand. Oh well.

I am not sure what else to include in my introduction, so, if anyone is interested in asking me anything, ask away, I am an open, easy to read book.

BTW, pictures are a great start. I already have a Calvin and a Hobbes, so while using Calvin as an avatar is OK, Dommes are going to be able to see what they are getting!

I was a bit worried about that. Here is the thing, for whatever reason, perhaps because it has been beaten into my misshapen head that there is something wrong with what I like, I am a bit hesitant to put my picture out there right off the bat. I wouldn’t mind sharing my picture with someone if they asked for it, but I just felt…I don’t know, nervous about throwing it out there in my profile. This would all be a non-issue if I was into finding a submissive woman from this site, but I am not, I want to find a dominant woman, and television, movies and the music of 2 Live Crew have made it clear to me that, that is not a normal thing for me to want to find. Hence the no picture in my profile.

Pffffft. It's actually easy to get women interested here. I note that you're relocatable, so you can go for any and all of the Dommes.

Good stuff! You are in LA, which has a very big local scene; you present yourself well, even if you are a little shy; and a sense of humor gets bonus points!

Google munches in Los Angeles. It's north of me, but I know that there are several in the area. Munches are where kinksters get together in a vanilla setting, like a restaurant, to share a meal and conversation. If you find a group that appeals to you, contact the folks in charge and let them know that you are new. Most will be happy to help and introduce you to the group. There are also some good BDSM clubs in LA. My favourite is the Lair De Sade. They do an 'Insight' once a month for new folks, and there are sometimes events and classes open to non members.

You are in a very good area to meet fellow kinksters, all you have to do is get yourself out there. That said, participating here on the forums is a very good start.

I was always skeptical about going to a BDSM club. For whatever reason, I always assumed I wouldn’t be allowed in unless I had this leathery, latex, full body glove outfit on, and I’d be subjected to bad music. I base that perception on absolutely nothing.

I guess I need to get over that though, how am I supposed to meet anyone if I don’t get myself out there? The squeaky wheel gets the grease…a closed mouth doesn’t get fed…other clichés.

LOL! Then The Lair will be a pleasant surprise. You wouldn't want to show up in a bad hawaiian shirt, long shorts and mandals with socks (unless humiliation is your kink), but it's a pretty kick back place. Jeans and a nice shirt will work just fine.

My first ever kink 'event' was an open invite birthday party for one of the members here, about 3 months after I joined. Thank you for sharing about your first ever ‘event,’ WyldHrt, that is reassuring. Also thank you for the info on the dress code at The Lair, it is good to know I don’t need to be in, what I assume, probably ignorantly, is traditional garb. Even the ‘Jeans and a nice shirt’ caveat is a bit of a scare for me, I am usually in shorts and a t-shirt, if that. It has been my goal since I was forced into clothes at whatever age toddlers are forced to wear clothes, to get back to my roots. One day I will be wearing nothing more than a fig leaf to cover my fig leaf shaped genitals, but for now it is just shorts and tee. I guess I could spring for some fancy pants and a shirt with buttons; it is for a good cause.

On the picture thing, you can take a photo of your body, or a partial face shot (artistically done, of course!). As Steven noted, being on the message boards can increase your chances to be noticed, and once people get to know you, then there is a good chance of finding someone on here.

I'd chase after you, but my 28 year old daughter made me promise to not chase someone under 30.
