Hi everybody! I haven't posted much before, but I appreciate the chance to give my opinion on this topic, and OP seems like a nice guy with an earnest question. Here is a list of things that I want to know about a potential mate: Attractive? Do they want a long-term relationship, one-time sex, or something like FWB? Can I handle the stuff they love to do, like anal sex or watching football? Do we have any interests in common? To what degree do they expect me to submit? Are they online only? How experienced are they in the lifestyle? Do they want marriage? Are they poly? Do they want kids? Something that's more important than any of those is the general demeanor of the person, which should reflect their experience and thoughtfulness. The first sign of a potential mate (for me) is correct (or nearly correct) grammar and spelling. The second is a lack of negativity in the profile. Without a charitable perspective on other beings, and the self-control to not vent those frustrated internet impulses which are natural yet unwholesome, no one can be a good mate for me. Third, and most important; the prospective dominant should demonstrate their philosophical discernment. For me, the ultimate human truth is Love. Any dominant who shows that they are ignorant of the fact that power is nothing more than illusion will immediately engender my distrust. Though I have not yet been lucky enough to experience it, I believe that a dominant who used to be a submissive would be the best playmate for a sane sub. The perspective that comes from the enjoyment of serving others seems necessary to the moral use of power and trust. OP, I would guess that you don't understand a great deal of this BDSM world - just as I do not, either. If you answer the questions which are presented in the list above, you should get more responses. If you understand and agree with the paragraph which precedes this one, you are blessed and should definitely show it in your profile. Pour out your heart, and see who loves it.
