i see the phrase "don't waste my time" in so many Dom and Master profiles i am compelled to ask; when is one worthy of these esteemed men and their time?  What's a waste if you know no more about them?  Guidance, please.

Usually it's accompanied by "If you don't fit these standards which I've clearly listed" or "If your interests are not compatible with mine" or "If you're just trying to play games and aren't looking for what I'm looking for."

A man sending out emails saying "Hey want to give me a blow job?" to profiles that clearly state "I'm a lesbian" or "Not interested in casual sex" is wasting everyone's time and energy.

I agree with LA here. In other sites on my profile I state what I seek and usually list what I do not want followed by the werning that "Time wasters will be ignored and/or blocked"..

he knows what he's looking for so don't waste his time (or yours for that matter) if you are not a fit
 
i'll agree that it comes across as arrogant in a profile, but it does cut to the point of the matter....
 
and aren't many Dominants arrrogant anyway? that's one of the things i so like about them

i was not clear; the profiles are mostly vague or nonexistant as to requirements or preferences; but "don't waste my time" still appears.  All is confusion here.

In cases where there's not much else to go on, it's just a standard emphatic empty phrase.

Not many people can write well, let alone their own profiles.

They want you to contact them asking what their requirements are so they can whine, bitch and complain about it later.

Also, just set your settings so that emails from 'blank profiles' go to your bulk box, that can help out a bit.

To LA: I have written a few male profiles, I don't know if it's helped many, but one friend got married a few months ago to a lady he met after I helped him write his profile.

I got a message from someone that said in  his email to me "Dont waste my time or play games", and then he gave me his phone number in the same email... He also lived in Florida.I did not respond and then he sent me another email demanding I not waste his time and email him back or call him... It stated on my profile that I would not date outside my state. In other words he was wasting my time.. (I know that isnt very "submissive" of me to point out is it.. just joking)

Oh is that what it is when Doms try to get you to stop emailing them through CM and give them your personal info? Avoiding premature ejaculation ... Thats ... Ew. I'm going to be thinking about that the next time I do talk to a Dom on the phone. Its lodged firmly in my mind ... Gawd ... Thank you. :) lol

As funny as Ron's comment was, he isn't all that far from the truth. Any doms I've talked to that accused me of wasting their time meant: What do you mean you won't agree to give me your phone number and meet me, unless I actually tell you something about myself, like my name or if I'm married? What the hell kind of sub are you??

I think 'Don't waste my time' has a lot to do with the image they want to portray.  They want to seem important.
Their time is Far more important than lesser beings like ourselves. 
Call it rude, but when somebody writes to me, and has that in their profile I rarely reply...after all, I'd hate to be labelled a time waster, and I AM known to waste a good deal of time.
And really, if they are here perusing profiles, they're wasting their own time, they don't need help.
