Ok, I'm sure other people have probably ranted on about this point before but I'd just like to throw it out there. Surely it hasn't gone unnoticed the amount of "dommes" (and sadly, in this case I use the term rather losely here) that demand money in their profiles.

Now I'm not talking about pro-dommes here, or the usual tribute asked by quite a large number of dommes. No, I'm talking about the type of generic dommes, who have only a 2 or 3 line profile basically demanding you hand over your cash! WTF??

Firstly I understand the pro-domme point of view, they do this for a living so fair enough. Next is the tribute, that I understand too, it helps sort out the serious enquiries for the every present pain in the ass time wasters. This is a trend that immediately stands out if you do a search of dommes between the ages of 18 - 30. Maybe I'm being naive here and people are going to say "Duh, what did you expect?", but the sheer number of them is crazy! All of them can't possibly be fake, there has to be some that are real, surely?

It's always follows the same generic template, the usual "I'm a young goddess bla bla...I will humiliate you..rah rah..rape you wallet...yak yak... you get nothing in return...bulshit! I understand financial domination is a fetish enjoyed by some and thats great, but this is taking the piss!

I mean think about it, imagine for a second that this profile is actually real, lets break it down shall we..

You have some young (domme) woman who has put up a profile that says basically that she wants you to open your wallet and hand over your hard earned cash and for what?! For absolutely NOTHING!

It's usually all there in the profile, in the "I will take your money and ignore you" section. So again think about it, you hand over your money and you get what? IGNORED! No message, nothing at all. It's a form of phishing!

Even if "she" were genuine and not some scammer, you're still left with some spoilt little brat who's just going to take your money! But the funny thing about all this is, it's almost exculsively confined to female "dommes" aged between 18-30. Seriously, check it out if you want a giggle.

Lets imagine that 99% of these "dommes" are fake (and they most likely are), that still leaves 1% who are actually serious in their outrageous request. How come it's only dommes? You have dominant, submissive and switch males PLUS submissive and switch females who don't ask for any money. I mean when was the last time you saw a profile from a male or female sub asking for money for them to submit? I know I haven't seen any.

Honestly these people really grind my gears, not only are they making it hard for submissives (both male and female) to find a domme, but the give all the honest, genuine Dommes (and I know you're out there) a bad name and make it hard for them to find a sub!

*Grrr* Ok, rant over lol

Oh, just one last thing. For anyone seriously considering giving money to these people, think hard about it! It's a lot like walking up to some random woman in the street and handing her money, like the generic profiles she has done nothing to deserve it, but unlike them you might actually get to see her reaction!

Your thought, comments are most welcome..

Yes, we've noticed.  Yes, scores of people have whined about this in the past.

Feel better now?

I am a dominant woman who is on this site and there is no way that lil scammer wenches make me look bad. (I can do that all on my own with no assistance from anyone! ) So no need to be up in arms to protect the likes of me! The only way I see these wenches being a hardship for anyone is in having to roll their eyes and move on down the line, unless they wish to hide or block the wenches... in which case it would take a little more work to demand they leave your presence.

Because there are naughty people who claim to be one thing or another and they might come in a mass, has no baring on anyone but themselves.

Since the creation of any form of money, there have been those who wish to take what they didn't earn and to do so in any way they saw fit. They first saw an area in which they could work themselves into a situation and then proceeded to take action. Now one silly little factoid for you OP... if there weren't men with a fetish or men so hungry for demanding lil wenches, the lil wenches would have nothing to proceed to. Why are we not hearing complaint's about those men with a fetish or silly needs to waste their cash with nothing in return? These men can play victim all they want, but a victim with cash to waste, that simply hands it over with or without the hope that he will be special and get something out of it, is volunteering to be used and willingly the victim of a greedy wench.

Why would that be our problem?

Hey, if some guy wants to give someone else money, it's not for me or you to say it's wrong.  Apparently some guys really get off on giving money.  It may not be your thing, but live and let live.

As to the rest of your whine, learn to deal with it.

~FR~

Sweet mother of god, please don't let's have another money domme thread.

Can we have "why are there so many money dommes" added to on of the FAQ sections?

No offense, but it is very easy to just dismiss profiles of this nature. They are not worth the energy that it takes to become upset at.

I'm fairly new here, but honestly it's off-putting and reflects poorly on the community.

If people get off on giving out money, that's awesome for them and they should go for it. I think the issue is that most of these profiles are straight-up fakes and the 'woman' demanding money isn't who she says she is at all. There should be some kind of optional verification service that the site provides in order to at least let people know if someone is legit (real pics, etc.), this way everyone can enjoy themselves. Fling has a system like that, where users can verify their pics with site admins and they get a little icon saying that they're verified.

The fact that people can get away with collecting a few pics off of facebook and then post a profile demanding cash here is really shady. Nothing wrong with money slavery or financial domination or whatever else, but the site should try to be a place that encourages/helps its members play fair.

It doesn't reflect on this mythical "community" at all.

It reflects on the idiots who think sending money to people they haven't met is a good idea.

Don't blame the rest of the world for the failings of the professionally stupid.

ETA - sorry Madame4a - this was not supposed to be in reply to you, but to Thom

What community?
This is nothing more than a forum/message board. There is no community.

And the only thing a rant like this reflects poorly on is a persons inability to control their temper and their fingers long enough to NOT make an ass out of themselves by ranting here.

All a person needs is a bit of self preservation and intellect to be able to look at profiles of this nature and say 'ok, this is a joke, on to the next one'

Not that hard to do.

I consider myself responsible to create my own community, by hiding all the profiles I don't wish to view, and writing only the people I would like to interact with.

Hitting "Hide" fifty times takes sixty seconds.  Typing out a complaint takes much longer.

OP, after reading your cute little energetic intro I hate to see you lose that bounciness - you have to understand this is a very common topic and there really isn't anything to be done about it. Stick around and do some research, you'll see how often this topic comes up. In the end, all you can really do is weed through profiles and watch out for yourself.

What can be done? Call a kink that some people want undesirable and ban it...? I consider scat undesirable but there are people on here that live for it so I need to just let them do their thing. If you start outlawing certain practices it becomes pretty sticky as to what should be included and what is not included. There are certain unlawful things banned in the TOS of this site, but other than that it's up to the individual if they want to engage in something or not. As it should be. Do you really want to be censored as to your own private life? If not then consider the fact that neither do people who love financial Domination. What gets them off is just as legit as what flips your own switch.

I understand the frustration on your end. Dominant women are hard to come by - they would still be hard to come by even if all the financial Dommes disappeared today. I concede that the winnowing process would be somewhat faster, but all things that are worthwhile usually take some time anyway.

I think adults should be able to handle what they find online or just say no to what they don't like. We don't need babysitters or parents to guide us safely through an online experience. If we do, we shouldn't claim to be adult or be out there exposing ourselves to the elements.

I'm not gonna argue because I can spot the fake profiles pretty easily, but I would think the webmasters here would have a vested interest in ensuring their site wasn't significantly populated with fraudulent profiles. That is a good way to frustrate people and loose traffic.
