Those are a couple of pretty stupid posts Mike. As far as popeye is concerned, you don't have to be a republican to be conservative. Most conservatives are far to the right of what the republicans were under HW Bush or W Bush. So asking popeye why he doesn't register as a republican makes NO sense. As far as your rant against Racer Jim, he may very well be above it all and independent. He comes down on the side of the right. Ok...that only means that he has 1) common sense, 2) a realization that the best government is, for the most part, the least government (which is very Jeffersonian), 3) he doesn't believe in the government spending money we don't have, 4) he is probably against runaway entitlements like welfare and believes that welfare recipients should have to work for a day's pay just like the rest of us shlubs, 5) and he probably doesn't believe the country should be colonized by illegal immigration of any stripe. So where is he wrong??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? "Know your enemy. Liberals lie. Liberals deceive. Liberals fight against liberty and against prosperity. Do NO business with a liberal. Don't rent to them, don't trade with them, don't refer clients to them...nothing. Economic warfare is the only civilized strategy." The above is my tag line...my signature. I haven't quite figured out how to make it my signature but a friend from the board gave me some instruction so I can get it done. You know WHY this is my tag line? Because it is true. Liberals want big government and more taxation. The higher the taxation, the more it restricts your inalienable right to the pursuit of happiness. The larger the government, the greater the reduction in what you have a legititmate expectation of privacy in. I don't know why people would want higher taxes and more government. I don't know why people would want the emasculation of a nanny state. But they do. And that is why they are the "ENEMY". This country fought against the insidiousness of socialism around the globe. Now we have to fight it here. Yesterday, I went into a guy's store and he had a picture of the president hanging on the wall next to his cash register. Our conversation went like this: Me: So....you a big Obama fan? Him: Yes, I sure am. Me: OK...well...have a nice day. Him: You don't want me to help you with anything? Me: Nope, the picture says it all. You support a president whose views are antithetical to capitalism and small business and yet here you are running a small business that is a capitalist venture. That makes no sense. And I can't do business with you. He didn't say a word. I think he was dumbstruck. I have been pushing for this form of economic isolation for awhile and it has taken hold with a number of people. Think about it. Why would you bring your business to someone that supports a person that is running your country into the ground, narrowing your opportunities for prosperity which thereby narrows your options for raising your family, your recreation, your investments, the care of your parents and so much more? Bring your business to people who believe what you believe.
