So you're telling me all online relationships start off, "hi I'm x. I like this, this, this and this. I have this this this and this. (insert p.c. joke here)?"

Yeah, why not?

Although... whenever I see a pic of some chick's boobs on her profile, it does cross my mind to email them to ask "Are those two puppies for sale, if so, I'll take the one with the pink nose"

[Ed for typo occasioned by my comedic joy]

Good thing you showed self-control!

Personally, If someone commented on my chest, I'd be deeply offended.
Or my eyes. I know women are drawn to eyes. No commenting on them. Or calling me witty. That's just too forward... I only wish to be acknowledged for my fashion sense.

Your humor, from what I've seen, tends to come from a place of understanding. You find common ground with others and use humor as a tool to build connections with them. (Affiliative behavior, I believe my Social Sciences professor would say.)

Thank you, strangedesire.  Yes, on reflection, I suppose I do use humour in order to build connections.  I don't often use it aggressively, anyway.  I put it much more simply:  I don't feel that I'm getting to know a woman unless I can make her laugh.  When I've done that, I can breathe a lot easier, that's all.

"Affiliative behaviour'.  I shall remember that.  Was that a sociology or psychology prof, may I ask?  I'd bet sociology, because that's the sort of term sociologists just love to come up with, bubbly rascals that they are!

Oh, I hear you man. That's a kick-ass haircut you've got. Can I have the one with the pink nose ?

<schnorfle>

[Ed to add the "n" I missed out from "schnorfle", on account of my excessive schnorflage]

It's interdisciplinary. The professor is technically a lecturer in psychiatry, but he has a bachelors in history and physics, a master's in political science, a master's in public health, an MD, and was a practicing psychiatrist in the military before turning exclusively to teaching. If I can do half of what he's done in his life, I will consider mine well-lived.

It's black, terribly black.
Thank you for fashion-related comment.

Also, that video...
yeah, I totally danced to it.
Judge me if you wish. I'm impulsive.

Edit: crazy_ml: Why, thank you. It's not even a haircut, it's just what my hair felt like doing that day.

It is danceable. Lonely Island made the parody thing work because they had some decent musicians behind them - and a lot of stars.
