RML has a mancave?....I need to get me one of those.

All it takes is being on the receiving end of enough sodomy.
You'll need a manpon as well once you've got one, though...

Rule, who else is it going to be? How many Republicans in their 30's still live with their parents?

Well the President before Obama was still living with his parents in his mid 40s, was he not? I think he might have been a Republican...

I wonder if there's any way of telling if a phone picked up on landline is an extension phone to "The Mancave" and used by some loser lefty in his 30's?

Another wonderfully unbiased moderate Independent post Popeye.

You continue to outdo yourself.

Rule, who else is it going to be? How many Republicans in their 30's still live with their parents?
People who live with their parents *don't vote Republican!* lol
Republicans work for a living usually and need their sleep at night and can't be continually woken up by the water heater and the furnace firing up on a cold night.

(Boy! I must have hit a nerve somewhere!)

No, it just never fails to amuse me that you claim to be moderate and Independent while making these kinds of comments.

I think it's time to come out of the closet Popeye and admit that you are as right-wing as they come.

It amuses me because every post you make bashes Democrats while you laud the gains made by every Republican, even the craziest teabagger candidates.

It amuses me because you try to represent yourself as middle-of-the-road when you are clearly not.

So please Popeye, come out of the closet.

Rule, what do you care about Democrats anyway, you're so far to the left that Obama must seem like George Bush to you.
Democrats don't want people like you in their party do they? Why do you defend a party that clearly doesn't represent your,..."views?
And what's wrong with being an Independant and hating Democrats???
Wouldn't it be "ok" with you if someone were an Independant and hated Republicans?
And since when does being an Independant mean that one is "middle of the road?"
You seem to have a lot of "rules" for yourself, where did you find them?
Don't you realize that you can't be applying your rules to other people?

(I still think Whore house Harry will cry in public before the election.)

Popeye, for the love of God, just come out of the closet.

There is no shame in being a conservative Republican.

Well actually there sort of is, but at least you'll feel better when you are finally honest with yourself.

1) HK, what do you care about Democrats anyway, you're so far to the left that Obama must seem like George Bush to you.
He sure does. I'm a Green who votes for Dems absent a Green on the ballot.
2)Democrats don't want people like you in their party do they?
Absolutely. Intelligent, well-educated, well-travelled free-thinkers are the core of the Democratic party. I'm sure I don't need to post teabagger demographic data.
3) Why do you defend a party that clearly doesn't represent your,..."views?
Because they represent my views WAAAAY better than rat-wankers.
4)And what's wrong with being an Independant and hating Democrats???
One who does that is a fucking hypocrite. A true independant votes for the best person.
4)Wouldn't it be "ok" with you if someone were an Independant and hated Republicans?
Such a person doesn't exist.
5)And since when does being an Independant mean that one is "middle of the road?"
Already answered.

As par for course, you guys define anyone who doesn't agree 100% with you as "out of the mainstream", and if you are "out of the mainstream", you are therefore "Republican" or "conservative".

In other words, many of you on the left have only three categories of people:

1. Us smart, intelligent and obviously morally correct people (yourselves),

2. People who we think we can convince, or fool to support us (independents)

3. The riff-raff: ignorant, stupid, criminal, low-life mean ole bastards who want the return of slavery, serfdom and theocracy (Republicans and Conservatives)

Popeye has consistently espoused ideas which do not fall in the Republican, or the Conservative side of the political equation.  He has also consistently espoused ideas which do not fall in the Liberal side of the political equation.

Since he is not lock-stock-and-barrel in the "lefty" camp, and its pretty obvious that you do not believe you can change his mind to get him there, he must - by the logic of the lefty mind - be a category 3 person.

What political idiots you guys are.  Keep that shit up.  You do nothing but push the great majority of independents into the conservative camp.

Firm

And what 3 catagories do many on the right have?  Do I have this right?  A poll about bias in polls?

What is the double prime derivative of a conundrum?

No, Republicans and conservatives don't exist anymore.

You've all waved your magic wands and transformed yourselves into centrist Independents.

I can't say I blame you for being ashamed to call yourselves Republicans after eight years of Bush and twelve years of a Republican Congress.

But the thing I find the most interesting here is you taking what has been a Republican catchphrase for years and trying to spin it into the "woe is me", "I'm being picked on" mentality that seems to have gripped conservatives lately.

Oh, but then you aren't a conservative either now are you?  Or are you?  It's getting so hard to keep track of these things lately.

Yes, the world has turned topsy truvey over the last few decades.

I'm presently a "conservative" which means I hold classical liberal beliefs, plus I believe that religion has a place in society.

I am open to discussions and people who disagree with me, and are willing to state their case. There is a place for "independents" who hold counter-views in most areas, and I am willing to extend the belief that they speak and act in good faith.

You and yours are generally seem to believe that the power of government is the solution to most problems, that any religious belief is dangerous and that anyone who dares disagree with you is evil, ignorant or stupid and do not deserve any place in the sphere of political activity.  Hell, you hardly believe they have a right to exist.

This, in my opinion, is a recipe for a sociopathic political system.

The Republican party use to be the home of conservatives but lately has too often gotten on board with the Dems in their faith in big government.  Which is why, sometimes, we'll agree with you about the Republican Party, but sometimes not.

Firm

Tell me this ...

Why do you continue to ignore Popeye's list of beliefs/positions which do not match "conservative" or "republican" positions?

Probably for the same reasons he flees any thread where you ask him to discuss the Rezco Lawn, Firm. Much like the hideous vase with a series of interconnected faces on my step-mom's counter does to me, it makes his head hurt to look at it.

Kinkroids, what we are seeing now is all propaganda and the new Battle of Bullshit.

It's a profit-enter for the media and people are hooked on BS now. Most all too often simply go to 'their' sites to read 'their' news, or go to the TV to watch 'their' cable station.  This is all to get a fix for their addiction to more partisan rant to reinforce prejudices, almost all of which anymore, is...unmitigated bullshit.

Personally I feel that the dems will not lose their majority in either house. I also feel that if they do...it will be the crowning achievement of right wing hypocrisy as reflected in their ability through media liars...political liars and operatives, to paint the dems as guilty of something when they are as much or more guilty themselves and to 'play upon the prejudices of the people' and to over time, plant those lies as fact.

This reminds me a bit of a class I once took in college about lying with statistics. It was fairly interesting, especially as everyone does it in the political arena. Yes, everyone. Left, right, liberal, conservative, libertarian, tea, what-have-you. Polls are just an easy way to collect the statistics one wishes to distort. The methods of collection are just one way of showing polls in your favor. Another popular tactic is the questions asked and how they are asked.

One (admittedly silly and outrageous) example being: "Which do you prefer, higher taxes on the rich or to take all the money from the poor?" The answer should very much lean in the direction of the former because, really, who wants to take money from people that have none? Not to mention the infeasibility of it.

Ultimately no matter your leanings or personal preferences, you shouldn't allow your opinion to be so loosely grasped as to be swayed by something as silly as a poll.
