Sweetie, I admit that I don't really go to munches, but I don't think anyone is going to go home with you straight from one, particularly if they've been drinking. (BTW, Cambridgeside is in a food court - damn little alcohol served there.) Most people want to go on a date or something, at least, before they tumble into your bed/eternal slavery.

I routinely drive 45 minutes to pick my girl up from work, spend a few hours with her in public, take her to class, and drive 45 minutes home. I don't need to "play" - I don't mind driving long distances to spend time with people that I care about.

Seriously, unless you can't afford the gas, you're just being lazy.

I make a 90 min drive now and have been for almost 2 years- sometimes he does it and comes here. I drive more if we're doing an event of some type, which we do regularly. Sure, I'd like it to be a shorter drive but if it comes down to not seeing him then I'd prefer to do the drive. It's really not that big of a deal. I kind of like having my privacy during the week here at my place and seeing him on the weekends. Best of both worlds type thing...

Lizi,I don't mind the driving,it's the alone part that drives me crazy.I hate comming home to an empty home.

If you really want something to happen you do whatever you need to do to make your dream come true.  I was working 7 days a week but got off 5 days to attend a kinky camping event.  I knew about the date 9 months in advance so had time to figure out how to get the time off.  Gary heard about the event and traveled 550 miles to attend from 2 states away.  We met.  We had fun together.  Afterward we chatted online and on phone at night.  He made a trip to my area where he met my family.  Six months later I quit my jobs and was on a plane heading to Gary and his motor home.  That was 5 years ago and we're still traveling around in the motor home. 

You just have to find your best options and then make them work for you.

Geesh - I must be an idiot!  I went to a whole nother continent to meet a man.  Totally 100% worth the trip.  Got up every morning at 5:30 a.m to talk to him on the phone (at his 10 p.m.).

I must say Tewy, you are the antithesis of charming.  Drinking, only want to play and have sex.  Dreadful grammar and spelling.  Whine, whine whine.  You don't think women are worth a 60 minute drive.  You think Rumi is poise's dude.  I wouldn't cross the street to get to your place.  You've given absolutely zero enticement.

I'd like to add something to what I've said above.  I think there may be a rather obvious solution.  I saw this thread you started:

perhaps you don't really want an s-type person.  You want to *be* the s-type person.  People generally spend their time, energy, and money on what is important to them.  You have made it clear on this thread that an s-type is not worth your time, energy, or money.  Sounds like it might be time for a little soul searching.

I know you're not that old Swee'Pea.  Some people couldn't be  bothered looking up "rumi" only to find out he's from the 13th century.  After all, they can't be bothered to drive even an hour, why should they spend 30 seconds looking something up on the internet? [8|]
