Twoshoes -> RE: The issue of pictures in profiles (10/17/2010 6:13:24 PM)

Now that I feel like an A+ on a French literature exam (which is impossibly good): I completely agree that a picture of any kind is an opportunity to present some aspect of yourself. I actually prefer unique-looking pictures. Plain photos or naked ones are informative, but creativity is intriguing. VC: I've always liked your forum/current profile picture, because the elements themselves (red fingernails, digital camera and the resultant orange hue) are plain, yet the composition is memorable. It makes your forum posts easily identifiable at first glance, while projecting the sentiment "dead sexy" toward your audience. [8D] switch2please: I really like yours too. Reminds me of the serenity I feel after a nap, as I casually look about, while trying to decide: "Should I move to get up now or... now... no, not yet." poise: Why are you trying to bewitch us with your unending stream of aesthetically appealing Black&Whites? Icarys's Matrix avatar screams 'solemnly cool'. (Even though the Matrix stopped being cool after the sequel.) My favourite picture on this site is actually of a Canadian woman who is fully clothed and lacks a head. (Purely based on the dress.) Personally, I'll go out of my way to come up with the most convoluted solutions imaginable, although often impractical and time-consuming. So if that last stylized picture* wasn't enough, I was recently inspired to photograph a pair of my shoes. [;)] Edit: *Actually, the stylized picture completely messed up my facial countours, but at least it made people aware I like jackets.
